November is Epilepsy Awareness Month and this week we are joined by Mary Loughlin, Northeast Resource Coordinator, and Daniel Dougherty, Patient Educator, with Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania (EFEPA). We'll talk about living with epilepsy, available services, and the work of EFEPA.
Mary Loughlin started to volunteer for the Epilepsy Foundation Eastern PA in 2000 while actively looking for help & resources for her son, Michael, who had just been diagnosed with epilepsy. Retiring after 32 years with Verizon as a Technician she stepped up her volunteer time and eventually became the Wyoming Valley Coordinator in 2004.
Dan Dougherty resides in Glenside, and is a graduate of Cheltenham High School in Wyncote. He has lived with epilepsy for more than 30 years. Dan is a volunteer Epilepsy Advocate with the Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern PA. Dan has honed his public speaking skills through being an active member of Toastmasters, and was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow in 2014, by the Glenside Rotary for his work in epilepsy awareness.

Our animals are family members. When our animal children pass on, the loss is gut wrenching. Many people become depressed and society doesn't always understand. Tamara Neal is a Certified Domestic Relationship coach, domestic violence advocate, and the owner and founder of a full-service residential adult assisted living center. Neal learned to trust her instincts
while employed as an emergency communication technician for the Baltimore County 911 Center. For years, she listened to screams and terror from callers. Neal’s dispatch experience gave her the authority needed to write Venomous Relationships, which won a 2015 National Indie Award of Excellence. She’s also has 3 other books, that was a 2015 National Indie Award of Excellence finalist. Her articles have appeared in Mind Body Green magazine, Chispas Magazine and Edge Newspapers. She has been interviewed on the Tranquility Talks and has appeared on the Fox affiliate morning show, Good Day DC.

Pete Elmore was born in Kinston, North Carolina in 1962. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1985 with a degree in Political Science. Pete made ends meet in college by writing for the school newspaper, the Technician. He has written several screenplays and three books which include “The Flaming Dragon,” 11 Easy Ways to determine if you live in a Haunted House” and “Reflections of an Alien Abduction Investigator.” Pete is a former MUFON State Section Director for Los Angeles and has investigated over 450 UFO and Alien Abduction reports. He currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Close Encounters Research Organization.
Barbara Elmore was born Barbara Cotton in Jacksonville, North Carolina in 1964. She attended North Carolina State University where she majored in English. Barbara has always been interested in the paranormal and has had many experiences of her own. She co-authored “The Flaming Dragon” which is being developed as a TV series at Fleur de Lis studios. Barbara is currently writing a book about her childhood titled “Tomboy Tales.” She also serves on the Board of Advisors for CERO.
Pete and Barbara met at N.C. State University in 1982 and it was if they had known each other all of their lives. They became best friends quickly and were married in 1986. They have three children, Ryan, Jason and Sean. They live in Santa Clarita, California.
Jeff Stewart (Cryptohulk) was born in Carthage Tx and raised in the Sabine River bottoms.
Jeff attended Tenaha High School and graduated from there in 1990.
After graduation he attended Baptist Christian College on an athletic scholarship for football and also has further educational studies from The University of Colorado, Harcourt College of Veterinary Technology and Panola College. He studied Animal Science, Wildlife resources, Theology, Electronics and Veterinary Technician.Jeff Stewart known to most as the "Cryptohulk" is a Cryptozoologist and wildlife expert who was born in East Texas and raised in the Sabine River bottoms. Regarded by many as one of the top wildlife experts in Texas, he is an expert in recognition of wildlife calls and sounds and is an expert tracker, trapper and hunter. Jeff Stewert if also a very talented writer.
Appearances include Monsters and Mysteries in America, Survivorman Bigfoot and Finding Bigfoot while Jeff also has been featured on over 100 podcasts and is a regular guest on Moore Outdoors with Chester Moore on KLVI AM radio in Beaumont Tx. Jeff spends most days in the river bottoms of Eastern Texas investigating the strange weird tales which come from every corner of East Texas. Jeff is also an ordained minister and Demonologist. Jeff is the co-creator of Monsters Mysteries and Mayhem on Facebook and www.monstercrypto.com.
Joyce Graff recently attended the Second Global Summit on Radiological quality and Safety (GSRQS). Fifty-two leaders of radiological services from countries on five continents participated in the meeting. Joyce was the sole patient advocate present.
