Two Hot Topics:
1) Racisim in Schools
A recent picture circulating around social media showing six white girls in Arizona posing with the "N" word spelled out on their t-shirts has caused quite a firestorm. What does this inicident, and others like it, say aobut race in America? It's not the racism of old. So....what is it??
2) Politics and Primaries
The Iowa caucuses were February 1, 2016 and, in case you haven't been paying attention, Republicans Ted Cruz, Donald Trump and Marco Rubio were the clear victors on the GOP side. As predicted, Hillary Clinto and Bernie Sanders made a showing on the Democrat side.
Joining me to talk about these topics is Dru Ealons, the National Director of Advocacy and Public Policy for Mocha Moms, Inc., the nation's leading voice for mothers of color, and founder and CEO of the Ealons Group, a consulting firm in the DC area.
The foundation of racism in religion is founded on politics. Hypocrisy is equal to a lier or deceiver. They bait politics in religion and talk sweet talk to you, but when you accept them, you see the hypocrisy. What is being said is not what is being done. Politics control every phase of life in this country. It is not the intentions of politics to do good by the people. It has been set up by Satan to destroy the masses and to use the rich to destroy the poor. Religions mission is based upon sincerity and is meant to turn people back towards the truth and keep them on the straight path of righteousness. Religion's mission began with the righteous few or righteous poor. But, today hypocrisy has been indocrinated into religion with the purpose of taking people away from the spiritual and indocrinating them into materialism which will lead them to their spiritual demise or self destruction. The people thus, forget their soul and rely on man or the government for their religious guidance. Man must turn back to the true worship of their Creator, The G'd within, the righteous dictates of their soul, and must recognize that their true G'd is unseen and has no beginning or ending.
The Department of Justice filed a 56-page lawsuit against the city of Ferguson on Wednesday afternoon, citing "a pattern or practice of conduct that deprives persons of rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States."
“The residents of Ferguson have waited nearly a year for their city to adopt an agreement that would protect their rights and keep them safe," Lynch said in a prepared statement. "They have waited nearly a year for their police department to accept rules that would ensure their constitutional rights and that thousands of other police departments follow every day. They have waited nearly a year for their municipal courts to commit to basic, reasonable rules and standards. But residents of Ferguson have suffered the deprivation of their constitutional rights – the rights guaranteed to all Americans – for decades. They have waited decades for justice. They should not be forced to wait any longer.”Attorney General Loretta Lynch ST Louis Post Dispatch

Are we living in a post racial America? Some Americans believe that, yes, we are and that some individuals who seek attention continue to use race and racism as a means for getting it. While others believe that harmful systemic racism and subconscious bias persists and the only way to eliminate them for good is to shine a bright light on them.
In this Episode of Race Haven Scott Speed is joined by guests Denny Faircloth and Dr. Osvaldo Gaytan. Scott (African American from Philadelphia, PA) and Denny (European American from Augusta, Georgia) will dialogue about this topic from two very different perspectives. Dr. Osvaldo (Psychiatrist) will join them to provide the social behavioral context to this dialogue.
