Join Us on The Legacy of A Nation/Joshua Generation Network Panel Discussion:
What is your PERSONAL EXPERIENCE with racism in America? How did you handle it?
Are there better ways to handle it when you run into an issue of race? Has President Obama's legacy taught us anything about dealing with racists in our own lives?
We're here to declaw and pull the teeth out of the roaring lion. Maybe we can't kill it, but we can stop the poison that impacts our daily lives once and for all!
Tonight's Panel Discussion Members include:

Hampton Roads Today is a new show that will deal with hard issues, current events and hot topics that impact the Hampton Roads, Virginia community, the nation and the global community.
In upcoming issues through 2013, mass communication students from Norfolk State Univerversity will be bringing you broadcasts on a host of subjects from the legalization of marijuana to the impact of rap music on today's youth. In today's episode, The News Crew team will hold a frank discussion with several political pundits regarding race, politics, political elections and campaigns.
In this episode Bob Kirkconnell, author of American Heart of Darkness, will discuss America's biggest and oldest problem of "Racism in America". If there ever has been an opportune time to abolish slavery, it was during and after the Revolutionary War. And yet it survived. Even after the Civil War, a horrific event that killed more Americans than any other war, what did survive was racism. Despite excellent legislation against racism, it morphed into what is today called "Jim Crow," a de facto form of slavery. America tried again in the '60s and '70s with the civil rights movement that resulted in legislation that struck down Jim Crow. The Civil Rights Act of 1964, The Voting Rights Act, and many others made Jim Crow a thing of the past, but this system was replaced again with what we have today which is "The Prison Industrial Complex." Will this ever end, and why won’t it go away?
This brings up some conclusions and also questions:
What is the Prison Industrial Complex and what effect does it have?
Why is legislation ineffective against racism?
Why cannot America leave its racist past behind?
What would replace the Prison Industrial Complex if it was legislated out of existence?
What needs to be done to solve this cancer that has been with America from the very start?

Media is an entity that has deteriorated and not progressed over time. Time was media would report events, while events were current. Today's media for the most part do little more than talk. Talk based on misrepresentations, lies, slurs and hatred. Station owners and sponsors allow these tactics. Viewers, listeners, readers and consumers are the target and many come to media not all for the same reason. Time for America's FCC to label media based on content of information being dissimulated to the public. US media seek to influence those who partake, not inform. Media holds on to data and decides importance based on where they are seated on a given day. Media found no reason to pay tribute to America's Black History Month. A discussion about why Blacks celebrate Black History Month has to come to America. Media are our reporters. Media fails to report. I salute Jon Stewart in his successful media run. He understands the need for truth of the matter news daily to people. Stewart will be sorely missed

I want you to feel my pain today! Media story of the month: Everyone loves America except President Obama! Media reports, Giualani says, everyone loves America but President Obama. The real story is thanks to politicians and CEOs Americans are facing the coldest February ini their lives jobless and penniless. For media to report the true story, media would have to target CEOs, Fortune 500 Companies, ALEC, SCOTUS, GOPs failure to pass bills, outsourcing jobs, importing and paying H1Bvisa workers. February 2015 freezing weather is hurting Americans in ways that could have and should have been prevented. It's all about the values of people making laws based on the love of money. America cannot continue to allow people to live in pain and die premature untimely deaths just because money comes before people. People accept whatever decisions company owners make as the right of company owners to do so. Americans are being hit physically and financially because of February's freezing weather and the media story is President Obama does not love America. The media know if they report on the true story of jobless penniless American's they would then have to report on the corrupt CEOs, Fortune 500 companies, ALEC, SCOTUS and GOP failure to pass bills to improve the economy 6 years ago. My pain for America hurts and I pass that pain on so you can join me together we can stop the pain. To stop the pain American's face today, one by one, people must come to the light.
Join me as I talk candidly about the pros and cons to unions and why they've become an easy target for republicans. I also talk about money in politics and whats wrong with all this free *cough cough* speech. I continue with my Walker coverage for president. Join me live as we discuss!
