Friday marks the 150th anniversary of the landing of Union soldiers at Galveston, Texas, with news that the war had ended and that the enslaved were now free. The annual celebration Juneteenth was launched to celebrate the end of slavery and the Civil War in the United States.
This June 19 the nation and blacks may be confronting a new type of end of slavery, thanks to former Spokane, Wash., NAACP president, Rachel Dolezal.
Dolezal’s decision to change her race from white to black may actually bring an official end to racial hyphenation and ethnic designation in America. And that is something to celebrate

Melissa Harris-Perry initially boycotted her own show on MSNBC over what she deemed as mistreatment. She thought that it was ironic that her show was always preempted for presidential coverage, but preemption never occurred with her white counterparts. (She later denied that her boycott was over racial reasons.)
Today, she's being replaced by another black woman. A black woman who essentially came up on MHP's show. Her name is Joy Reid. Is Joy wrong for taking "her mentor's" spot despite her mentor allegedly leaving for discriminatory reasons? Did she "Hollywood Shuffle" Melissa Harris-Perry?
Starbucks is being sued for their iced coffee. A customer says that there's too much ice in the cup and it's cheating the customers to the tune of a $5 million dollars. Legit or just another stupid money grab?
And do minority-owned businesses make more money if it's kept secret that they're minority-owned?
All of this and more on the Talk 2 Q Radio Show! "No experts. Just opinions."
Show No. 595
Scheduled for 60-75 mins.
Tonight's show is being officially brought to you by Forever Letter.

Xavier White grew up listening to his grandfather playing the drums and his mother playing the best of R. Kelly and Usher. Interestingly his focus in his younger years was not of R&B, but of punk rock. Being bi-racial, with a Scottish father and an African American mother, he had the best of both worlds. His favorite punk rock bands consisted of Green Day, Simple Plan, and Linkin Park.Confused in his younger years, he chose to write music to anything he found suitable for his tempo of music. Around the age of 16, Xavier contended in his high school talent show and sang one of his favorite songs at the time, “So Sick” by Ne-Yo. Placing in 2nd place gave Xavier an idea of what he needed to improve on in the future. Being a fast learner, he promised himself he will win 1st place in the talent show before graduating high school. In Xavier’s senior year, he won 1st place singing and showcasing his powerful vocals with "My Girl" by The Temptations. Xavier released his first EP at the age of 23 called “Our Last Memories.” Between his high school career and his current projects, Xavier has utilized the time to focus on crafting his voice and lyrics. He is currently hitting main stream media and plans on winning a Grammy award in the near future. Currently, his single “New York Times” is garnering major attention from fans and media alike. Xavier’s new EP, Cancer Vs. Gemini, is currently in the works of being released over the summer.

The native populations don’t exist at all in Obama’s mind. Nor does he say that the Revolution swept away racial discrimination, or that pensions and salaries for all Cubans were decreed by it before Mr. Barack Obama was 10 years old. The hateful, racist bourgeois custom of hiring strongmen to expel Black citizens from recreational centers was swept away by the Cuban Revolution - that which would go down in history for the battle against apartheid that liberated Angola, putting an end to the presence of nuclear weapons on a continent of more than a billion inhabitants.Nobody should be under the illusion that the people of this dignified and selfless country will renounce the glory, the rights, or the spiritual wealth they have gained with the development of education, science and culture.Fidel Castro Ruz
What do you say if a cop pulls you over and asks to search your car? What if he gets up in your face and uses a racial slur? What if there’s a roach in the ashtray? And what if your hot-headed teenage son is at the wheel?
More people than ever are getting arrested—usually for petty offenses against laws that rarely used to be enforced. And because arrest information is so easily available via the Internet, just one little arrest can disqualify you from jobs, financing, and education.
Join us in welcoming Dale Carson, an ex-cop, to the Sound Health Options Radio show, as he shares his experiences and ideas of how we can PROTECT ourselves against the authorities!
Dale joins us again to discuss his Book: 'Arrest-Proof Yourself' as well as his current thoughts on our safety in dealing with Police and the legal system.
