GENESIS 29: 25- 35 JACOB'S CHILDREN AND JACOB'S PROSPERITY
vs. 25. And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me ? did not I serve with thee for Rachel ? wherefore then have thou beguiled me ?
vs. 26. And Laban said, it must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the first born.
vs. 27. Fulfill her week and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven years.
vs. 28. And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.
vs. 29. And Laban gave Rachel Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.
vs. 30. And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years.

vs. 31. And when the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.

vs. 33. And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, because the LORD hath heard that I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon.
GENESIS 29: 11 - 20 SERVITUDE TO LABAN A SEVEN YEARS FOR RACHEL.
vs. 11. And jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.
vs. 12. And Jacob told rachel that he was her father's brother, and that he was Rebekah's son; and she ran and told her father.
vs. 13. and it came to pass , when Laban heard the tidings of jacob his sister's son, that he ran to meet him, and embranced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told Laban all these things.
vs. 14. And laban said to him, Surely thou art my bone and my flesh. And he abode with him a space of a month.
vs. 15. And Laban unto Jacob, Because thou art my brother, shouldest thou therefore serve me for nought ? tell me what shall thy wages be
vs. 16. And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, the name of the Younger was Rachel.
vs. 17. Leah was tender eyed, buy Leah was beautiful and well favoured.
vs. 18. And jacb loved Rachel; and said I will serve thee Seven Years, for Rachel thy younger bdaughter.
vs. 19. And Laban said it is better I give her to thee, than that I should give her to another man: abide with me.
vs. 20. And Jacob served Seven years for rachel; and they seemed unto him buit a few days, for the love he had to her.

And Jacob said unto Laban, give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I go in unto her.

Negativity unfortunately resides in our day to day interactions or worst in our thoughts. 99.9% of the time, we think negative before we think positively for whatever the reasons may be. And even worst when friends, families, inject negativity into our lives. It is like we are already struggling to get rid of our own negativity and now we have to deal with the negatibity of others. It is important to value your relationships therefore we have to communicate what needs to be ruled out of our lives that aren't beneficial to us in the long run.
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness month. Join us on Tuesday, September 16th when we will be discussing the topic of intimate partner violence (also known as domestic violence) and the challenges associated with providing services to victims of this crime with Dr. Ron Wallace, adjunct professor in the criminal justice program at Columbia Southern University.
Dr. Ron Wallace
Dr. Ron Wallace is a criminal justice professional with over 30 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. He is a recognized subject matter expert in the field of criminal justice and has worked on a variety of projects with criminal justice agencies nationwide.
Dr. Wallace received a PhD in Public Safety with a specialization in Criminal Justice in 2011 and for the past two years has worked full-time as a professor in criminal justice programs nationwide. He has served as an adjunct faculty member in the criminal justice program at Columbia Southern University since July 2012.
In addition to having experience working with agencies that provide services for victims of intimate partner violence, Dr. Wallace has also conducted research and published articles on the topic.
