R.A. Giggie, author of Stella's Plea on JournalJabber

    in Books

Tonight we have a brilliant new author with a talent for telling stories that both terrify and inspire.  Tune in to meet R.A. Giggie as she tells of the divine inspirations and asperations she has from and for her debut novel, Stella's Plea.

From Amazon: R.A. Giggie was born in a small community in Quebec. She later moved to New Brunswick and has since made it her home. She's a wife, mother, and grandmother. While her husband is an avid outdoors-man, she's more a "homebody" and prefers to write stories.

She's the author of Stella's Plea (Nov 2012), a Christian suspense about the abduction of a deaf little girl and her mother's struggle to find her. She's currently working on a court drama.

Writing is her passion though she works full-time outside the home, but looks forward to the day when she can make a living out of writing. Her favourite genres are Christian suspense, historical and Amish. However she's always opened to new authors.

You can find her book on Amazon, Twitter, Facebook or on her blog.

As always, the show is sponsored by The Eyes for Editing.

    The Archmage Episode

    in Entertainment

Join the Dungeon Crawlers Radio team as they welcome special guest author R.A. Salvatore to the show as part of Wizards of the Coast book tour for "Archmage".

The pall that had descended over the North is gone, and a new day has dawned on a victorious Mithral Hall, but no matter how bright things seem on the surface, Drizzt and his companions know that what lurks just under their feet remains steeped in evil and charged with unimaginable power.
The dark elves of Menzoberranzan, including the powerful Archmage Gromph, aren’t done with Drizzt yet. And consumed by their own power struggles, feeling backed into a corner, the drow may just be desperate enough to call on demonic forces from the deepest reaches of the Abyss, and unleash a disaster even the Underdark could never have prepared for.
Archmage has everything Drizzt’s fans crave: action, adventure, characters that resonate with equal measures of warrior spirit and deep compassion, and no shortage of wicked dark elves!

    The Prayer Motivator Minute #748

    in Christianity

C.S. Lewis said, "I pray because I can’t help myself.  I pray because I’m helpless.  I pray because the need flows out of me all the time--waking and sleeping.  It doesn’t change God--it changes me."

Our prayer motivator verse from the Word of God today is Psalm 99:6 which says: “Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them."

Our prayer motivator quote today is from R.A. Torrey. He said: "If we then let the words of Christ abide in us, they will stir us up in prayer."

U.S. Army stretched with commitments in Europe, Asia, Middle East

    in Current Events

    1. General Ray Odierno said on Friday that the U.S. Army is far more heavily engaged around the world than projected when it began slashing force size several years ago, and its commitments will be hard to maintain in the long run as troop numbers shrink.

    2. Saudi Arabia said on Saturday that it broke up planned Islamic State attacks in the kingdom, announcing that it has arrested over 400 people in its raids.

    3. Iran’s supreme leader on Saturday hailed the Iranian masses for demanding the destruction of Israel and America, and said he hoped that God would answer their prayers.

    4. Israel signaled on Friday that it would ask the United States for increased military aid to counter any threats that may arise as result of the international agreement on Iran’s nuclear program.

    5. A senior Israeli official has warned that the new nuclear deal with Iran gives Tehran full legitimacy to engage in further atomic work and will set off a regional nuclear and conventional arms race.

You can read these stories in more detail and get more prophecy-related news at SecondComingHerald.com

The prophetic passage of Scripture that we are looking at today is 1 Kings 11:30-32 which reads: " And Ahijah caught the new garment that was on him, and rent it in twelve pieces: And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee: (But he shall have one tribe for my servant David's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:)"

Our second coming quote for today is from R.A. Torrey. He said: "The imminent return of our Lord is the great Bible argument for a pure, unselfish, devoted, unworldly, active life of service."

    The Prayer Motivator Minute #666

    in Christianity

Martin Luther said, "The fewer the words the better prayer."

Our prayer motivator passage from the Word of God today is Psalm 66:19 which reads: "But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me."

Our prayer motivator quote today is from R.A. Torrey. He said, "We sometimes fear to bring our troubles to God, because they must seem so small to Him who sitteth on the circle of the earth. But if they are large enough to vex and endanger our welfare, they are large enough to touch His heart of love."
