SORT BY Relevancy
in The Bible
Over the last week, we've had conversations online and in person that arose from the book of John and his emphasis on belief. In this Epsiode we seek to explore this further as those conversations left some of the issues unresolved.
Water For The Thirsty is a contemporary forum which creates space to experience and share the delight of daily communion with Christ.
Our conversations are grown organically and often challenge our traditional views. Through informal review and discussion of the scriptures, we seek practical application of the Word in our lives under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
We stream our conversations live online every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 8 -9pm EST @ http://waterforthethirsty.com (Click the Watch Live Now link for Praizevision or Ustream). Join the live conversation by calling (914) 205-5907 or via the chatroll at Praizevision.com
Grab a copy of the reading plan, dust of your Bibles and join us... if you're thirsty.

Today's broadcast is being dedicated to Rev. Dr. W.D. Willis, my first pastor and person who sowed so much into my life. I honor God for his life and legacy of love, education, and community service. Truly his work speaks for him and I'm honored to have had such a great man in my life.
Our word for the day was going to be COMMUNICATION. But we're changing it to DEDICATION in honor of this great man.
Definition: 1.the quality of being dedicated or committed to a task or purpose. "his dedication to his duties"
synonyms:commitment, application, diligence, industry, resolve, enthusiasm, zeal, conscientiousness, perseverance, persistence, tenacity, drive, staying power; antonyms:apathy, laziness, indifference
Merriam-Webster defines dedication as a feeling of very strong support for or loyalty to someone or something : the quality or state of being dedicated to a person, group, cause, etc.; self-sacrificing devotion <her dedication to the cause>
DEDICATE, v.t. L. To vow, promise, devote, dedicate. See Class Dg. No. 12, 15, 45. The sense is to send, to throw; hence, to set, to appoint.
1. To set apart and consecrate to a divine Being, or to a sacred purpose; to devote to a sacred use, by a solemn act, or by religious ceremonies; as, to dedicate vessels, treasures, a temple, an altar, or a church, to God or to a religious use.
2. To appropriate solemnly to any person or purpose; to give wholly or chiefly to. The ministers of the gospel dedicate themselves, their time and their studies, to the service of Christ. A soldier dedicates himself to the profession of arms.
