Howard Richmond MD talks about self-care, anger and the rules

    in Self Help

Howard E Richmond MD is a transformational psychiatrist with a message for consciously seeking people who want to shift energy-draining reactions to realign body, mind and spirit. This episode is about the power of self-care when dealing with anger. He will also break down the concept of "The Rules" and discuss whose rules are running our lives and how to get back into joy.

One of the lessons Dr. Richmond has learned over twenty years in private practice is the value of being “out of your mind” and into your heart. This philosophy is beautifully displayed in The Healing Field, his first novel. The Healing Field is a riveting account of the healing breakthrough that saved his patient’s life and transformed his own. The book chronicles the daring, out of the box healing journey with his anorexic patient “Lori,” who was determined to die. Between her desperation and his determination, they become locked in a battle for life that crosses conventional boundaries and reveals that healing and freedom come in surprising forms.

Dr. Richmond practices hot yoga daily in San Diego, California, where he lives with his wife, Elana, and their two German shepherd rescues, Jayde and Houdini. Read more at HowardRichmondMD.com

    [PART-II] Cradled ANGER

    in Education

Hi, Did you KNOW......As I speak, Anger is moving swiftly in the Body of Christ? The spirit of MURDER is freely visiting the very Elect. Families of faith and even faith movements have silently cradled anger to the point of angry Public and Pulpit messages. Lord help US ALL today! No wonder we have angry children in communities and schools.....WHY?...they watch and listen to what suppose to be love messages but instead they witness family, friends, and church-house corrupt communication!

Anger: A Response We Can Choose to Drop in the New Year?

    in Health

As usual, people are (hopefuly) starting to think about how they want their next year to be different....

Today, Nick & Joanna will be discussing anger. With so much going on in the news today, especially about police officers shooting innocent people, while also trying to adequately do their job protecting the masses,  perhpas it's time to have a deeper discussion; not only about anger, but about the deeper hurt, both individually and collectively that keeps this surface emotion alive and well and contaminating our relationships. For many people, anger seems to be the response of choice which not only creates a stress response (fight/flight) in the one who is angry, but most likely creates it in the target of the one who is angry as well.

So - what can we do? Anger is a normal, sometimes healthy, human emotion. Can we simply choose not to be angry? How do we handle angry feelings when they come up? What makes anger justified? How can we safely and sanely express and process it so that it comes up and out of the body so it does not wreak havoc on our physical, mental and emotional health? How can meditation and hypnosis help? Can lifestyle practices really make a difference? Should be an interesting discussion.
