Reader's Entertainment Radio Presents: Heather Graham

    in Books

Reader's Entertainment Radio welcomes NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author, Heather Graham to the show on Thursday, March 26th at 6pm EST!  With over one hundred and fifty books and novellas to her credit, her latest novel, The Dead Play On, continues the tradition of excellence for which Heather Graham is well known!

    Book Blurb:

    Play a song for me…

Musicians are being murdered in New Orleans. But Arnie Watson apparently died by his own hand. When Tyler Anderson plays the saxophone he inherited from Arnie, a soldier and musician who died soon after his return, he believes he sees visions of his friend's life—and death. He becomes convinced Arnie was murdered and that the instrument had something to do with whatever happened, and with whatever's happening all over the city…

Tyler knows his theory sounds crazy to the police, so he approaches Danni Cafferty, hoping she and Michael Quinn will find out what the cops couldn't. Or wouldn't. After all, Cafferty and Quinn have become famous for solving unusual crimes.

They're partners in their personal lives, too. Quinn's a private investigator and Danni works with him. When they look into the case, they discover a secret lover of Arnie's and a history of jealousies and old hatreds that leads them back to the band Arnie once played with—and Tyler plays with now.

They discover that sometimes, for some people, the line between passion and obsession is hard to draw. Only in uncovering the truth can they hope to save others—and themselves—from the deadly hands of a killer.

Filmmakers Porter Farrell & Adam Dietrich of the Award Winning Movie “Windsor”

    in Radio

And the winner of the Best Narrative Feature at the 2015 Garden State Film Festival is Windsor! The film follows 6 friends in their last year of high school as they prepare to leave their small, struggling Texas hometown, a place caught up in the wheels of giant agribusiness that seems to swallow up small farming towns. Maisie (Madelyn Deutch), whose father is about to be released from prison, decides she can’t leave town where she has been embraced since the dark day when her father nearly killed the man whose company foreclosed on their family farm resulting in long-term devastation on his family. The town patriarch, Gil Denton (perfectly played by character actor Barry Corbin), a no-nonsense, wealthy landowner dying from cancer, and he serves as a sounding board and sympathetic friend, while providing the kids a wistful link to a past they will never know. Set in current time, Windsor reminds us that small town values are worth saving, and that the mouse does indeed occasionally roar. Porter Farrell wrote, directed, and produced Windsor, his first film, along with Producer Adam Dietrich. Everything about the film is so well executed, that you’ll be hard pressed to believe this is Farrell’s first film. The movie also features Quinn Shephard, who received the Rising Star Award from the GSFF, an honor bestowed on an up-and-coming actor/actress with NJ roots. This film is a winner on multiple levels. After the interview, check After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for more info.

#18: Jake's Wife? Who's Victor Scheming With? Maya is Transgender? & More!

    in Television

As of today we have found out that Rebecca Budig has joined General Hospital as Hayden, now presumed as Jake's (Jason) wife? Hmm, where has she been all this time? Who is she really? Who's putting her up to this? Franco and Nina are working to get themselves free from their "faking" incidents in the mental ward! Silas has been by Ava's bedside, who everyone thinks is dead, as she has cancer and is asking Silas to kill her.  Meanwhile, Tracy and Lulu track down Luke's sister and finds her daughter instead, Valerie Spencer; who happens to be biracial.  As Tracy and Lulu are desperate to learn about what happened to Luke as a child, Luke is behind the door with a gun so Valerie wont spill the beans... Meanwhile in Los Angeles, the biggest and best kept secret on daytime was revealed when Maya's sister, Nicolle, came to town with a secret on Maya and it was revealed on Friday's episode that the reason Maya left town so many years ago and the family disowned her is because Nicolle found out that Maya is really Myron, her BROTHER...Also, as Brooke is falling off the wagon, she leans on Deacon who is leaning on Quinn as their relationship heats up but...there is trouble in paradise. Lastly, In Genoa City there is a clusterfuck of madness going on.  Kelly is presumed dead over in the middle east? WTF? Phyllis has a nightmare she was stabbed by Kelly prior to learning this. Victor is in coo-hoots with someone in the alter.  Adam is getting closer to pulling Chelsea's heart to him. Neil confesses to being the one that pulled the wheel that Nikki was driving in the car and ran over CHristine who later lost her baby with Paul.

The cabin story continues to linger as there is now a documentary that Austin was working on and as the suspect list grows, so does the confusion and frustration with the fans as now they are dragging in characters and rewriting their characters.

I wonder, Is Positive ego my Higher Self?

    in Spirituality

Many people have come to realize how their ego is causing them a lot of grief. They recognize ego mind is spiritually problematic. They invest a great deal of time improving their ego and modifying its behaviors, even if it is by force of their will to make their ego be a better character within their psyche.

This is important growth, too, isn't it? Yet, for all the efforting to make your ego more positive and not so negative, we must ask ourselves, "What precisely are we doing?"

Spiritually speaking are we freeing up our Higher SELF or is this behavior modification evidence of being more of our Higher SELF in our daily life?

Are we transforming or transcending? Is there a difference that matters? Do you want to have more clarity about this aspect of yourself so you can be more insightful?

Is control of your urges the epitome change that matters? If not, what is the Kahuna and why? Being a better person is part of the self realization process. But, what is its boundary or limit from our Spirit Side of being's point of view and understandings?  I want to know more than I do regarding this subject. Listen to our show and deepen your insights.
