Talking in Circles: Atlanta Review, Kyle Petty Talks Caution Clock,

    in Sports

On this episode of Talking in Circles we discuss the entire weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 and Jimmie Johnson's 76th career win, tying him with Dale Earnhardt.

We'll talk about what we thought about the new rule package at Atlanta and whether or not the race was interesting or boring. Also we'll talk about what we think we'll see at Las Vegas this weekend.

Matt Kenseth had a well documented penalty on Sunday, which in part cost him the race. Plus his team did not communicate to him what happened. We'll break that down as well and who is really at fault for the incident.

The NASCAR XFINITY Series had a good race on Saturday that saw Kyle Busch run away with the race with a hard charging Kyle Larson in tow.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series used the caution clock for the first time this weekend and we had a major incident because of it. Two drivers hit the wall at extremely high speeds. We'll discuss what we think of that clock.

Also ratings for the Cup race were down significantly for the second straight week and the attendence for the race at Atlanta was not strong. What has happened to Atlanta and should we be worried about the future of the facility.

And we take your phone calls at 917-889-8280.

Talking In Circles: Daytona Review, Stewart Haas Racing to Ford, Atlanta Preview

    in Sports

The Daytona 500 had one of the best finishes in the race's 58 year history. It was great and we break down the race and other finishes from the Daytona 500.

Also we'll discuss the Powershares QQQ 300 and the NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway and who ran good, who struggled.

As if Daytona wasn't enough to talk about Stewart Haas Racing unleashed a bombshell this week when they announced that the organization was moving from Chevrolet to Ford in 2016. We'll talk about why they would want to do this and what this means for the organization.

Plus the tv ratings for the 58th running of the Great American Race were lower than expected. We discuss why and whether or not that will be a trend for NASCAR in 2016.

It's the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway, which will feature the low-downforce package in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Plus we take your phone calls at 917-889-8280.
