Jemeker Thompson-Hairston, an Olympian, Author, Evangelist, and former Los Angeles, Queen Pin, talks about her journey from the streets of L.A. and the dangerous life of drugs, crime and murder; to now saving souls with her testimony, faith, and Second Chance Ministry.
Jemeker now 51 started in the game at 16yrs old, and progressed to becoming the largest drug dealer in L.A. and the first woman dealer supplying drugs to over 5 different states. Jemeker would eventually discover that life on the run is much harder than paying the price for the crime. Running from the DEA and the FBI proved to be a much greater battle than shooting it out with the thugs on the next corner in the neighborhood war for control. Her drug wars on the streets of South Central L.A. paled in comparison, than with the long arm of the law, that never gave up.
Her memoir "Queen Pin" is a chronology of her life as the number one drug dealer in Los Angeles history and how God saved her and turned her life around so that she is no longer taking lives, but saving them through her testimony, her lifestyle, and her Second Chance Ministry. Don't miss this opportunity to hear her story and witness how God can turn any situation around. I'm very excited about this guest; Jackie Walters, Ms. All World Beauties International 2014 is here to talk about not only her platform Diabetes Awareness but also about her new Diabetes Support Group that she has formed. Her platform is Diabetes Awareness, and the reason she chose this, is because she has lost family members to this silent killer of mankind and also still have family members battling this disease. Jackie says "And if I can advocate to my community on how to get tested with early diagnosis, taking their medicine and regular exercise will prolong their life expectancy; then I would have done my job".
Jackie's hobby is collecting crown pins, but also enjoy shopping for shoes and outfits for different events that she attends. Jackie also enjoys collecting stuff animals.

Discrimination!!! I was shocked by ?#BRAVO? TV watching the ?#Prancing? Elite. My heart went out to these young men, all they want to do is dance in the Parades. For my Christian friends, God does not like for you to JUDGE or discriminate against another human being. You may not agree with their life style but who are you to judge, condemn, and discriminate? All I saw was beautiful young men with a Spiritual beauty that had heart for positive change in this WORLD. Please let us learn how to live and let live, who are we to Judge? If it does not cause bodily harm then let it be. Acceptance is the key, everyone has a right to be happy. Please join us for this discussion.

Reading OVERCOMING AN ANGRY WOMB is down to earth, and reads like a conversation with a wise, gentle friend that tells you what you need to hear about being a woman in today's world. This book is not about being angry at men, but helps us to understand how poor relationships have shaped our views of ourselves and how to regain health and attract healthier relationships.

The first carnival was staged in 1912 during the final years of Danish occupation and lapsed during World War I. Revived in 1952, carnival has become the second largest festival in the Caribbean.
A month-long series of dazzling pageants and talent shows is held to choose royalty to rein over the festival. Fun events such as a boat race, Greased Pig Contest and Toddlers Derby entertain everyone at the festivities.
A series of elimination contests to crown top performers are called Calypso Tents. Calypsonions offer satirical commentary on the state of the islands, oftentimes mocking the shenanigans of politicians. Other popular events held during Carnival is j'ouvert, a morning jump up, a food fair presenting the islands’ best traditional eats and a competition to crown the King and Queen of the parade troupes.
A children's and adult’s parade close the lively month with brilliantly costumed and decorated troupes and floats.
