Live and Learn in Kenya in Second Life

Since January 2010 Live and Learn in Kenya NGO is also online in the Second Life virtual charity community – Nonprofit Commons. The managers of the Nonprofit Commons go through every detail of an organization’s registration form to assure itself that it really is a charitable non-profit organization and not a computer scam.  LLK operates from a virtual office where people can come in and inform themselves about our work in Kenya, look at photos and, if an LLK member is present, hold a conversation. There are real people behind all of the so-called avatars, so real conversations are held – as well as meetings – either by typing your message or by speaking over a microphone. A child in Kenya – the orphan, Veronica has already been sponsored through a Second Life contact, which makes it all worthwhile.

The Friday Farcast: The Truth Movement, Is It Time For Open Heart Surgery?

    in Paranormal

On my website, robertphoenix.com, I recently published a piece on the Truth Movement, inspired by a submission from one of my long time readers and friends, Linda Lake.  Linda had recently dealt with crisis of faith, wherein some of her most trusted sources of both truth and inspiration (Alfred Labremont Webber and David Wilcock) were being called out by other serious and legitimate researchers for their seemingly wild, whacky and quite dangerous acts of outright monkey wrenching and naive postulations and predictions, which invoke false and rarely come true.

It is one of those events which can send one crashing back to Earth--hard and busted up--a very real form of betrayal.

The battle for your mind and soul is on full tilt and as Mercury goes Retrograde in Aquarius, is it time to re-examine the "Truth Movement?"  Has the "Truth Movement" been a set-up all along?  A digial Cointelpro?  A simulacra sting of epic proportions?  Can we truly get to the bottom of the rabbit hole and who are the guides that we can trust?

Please join us as we open the phone lines and take the collective pulse of the "Truth Movement" via Mercury Retrograde.

    The Firing Squad

    in Culture

“Real journalism is publishing something someone else does not want published – the rest is just public relations.” George Orwell

With so much drama in the world today in our communities on both macro and micro levels, it’s always strange to see the news or people that claim to be journalists talking about all kinds of silly things and never what’s going on. The Firing Squad is here to take aim at all that is wrong with the world, starting with our own communities.

Three men of color with no censor and no objectives but truth, justice and common sense. Each episode will deal with hot-button issues with honesty, straight talk, and humor whenever possible . No personality is untouchable, and no one is spared the venom, or the praise whenever fit.

The format fo the show is simple five topics a week with 5 minutes devoted to each topic, and a close by each individual member featuring a verbal shot of their own choosing.

Viki Winterton interviews Dr. Jean Farish!

Dr. Jean Farish is an award winner of the global 2014 Transformational Author Writing Contest, freelance inspirational writer and guest writer for Xlibris Publishing, and author of The Long Journey Home.

Her book is a true story inspired by a welcomed life-changing journey for six months in the Pearl of the Orient (Penang, Malaysia), and the voice of the human condition and quiet desperation to find our way back home. Connecting to the hearts of readers who find themselves unfulfilled, disconnected from their higher self, and questioning their true purpose, her book is the lighted path that will lead them home.

The Long Journey Home and noted accomplishments in higher education endeared her calling to ‘promote conscious living’ and to ‘educate for purposeful living’ with a shift in her paradigm of service from the classroom to the global community. Founder and Director of PROJECT PEP (Personal Enhancement Project), humanitarian projects sponsored by Dialogue Institute founded by the Turkish American community, she embodies altruistic service with the signature project, “PEP for Angels”, for children hospitalized with cancer.
