Elaine Garcia and Before You Publish offer an array of services to authors, and others, such as:
Copyediting: This is a word for word check for spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structuring, chapter numbering, and consistency of facts.
Developmental/Content Editing: This process checks for plot structure, believability, and story flow. Does your story have a clear beginning, middle, and ending?
Comprehensive Editing: Includes both developmental and copy editing. This is COMPLETE editing designed especially for the novice writer or first-time author.
Proofreading: This is a final read of the edited work before it goes to print (usually the typeset manuscript). They strongly suggest that this phase of the editing not be skipped.
Transcription: This service will take your audio tapes and turn them into written documents. They will transfer your information from audio recordings into typewritten format from an audio dictation or recording.
eBook Conversion: Do you already have a published book that you need converted into an ebook? Let them take on the tedious task of turning your book into an electronic file, ready for all major ebook publishers.
To help you decide if Before You Publish is a good fit for you and your work they are happy to provide a FREE sample edit. To receive it send BeforeYouPublish.com the first 5 pages of your work; double spaced with 1" margins; and typed in Arial or Times New Roman font.

The world may be falling apart all around us, but let's resolve to publish our lives with the voice of thanksgiving.
Is your voice being heard? Are you spreading the news? The Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
Do the people in your life even know that you believe in Jesus? If so. how many of them? Just a few? Maybe just the people you go to church with?
Everyone that you ever have the occasion to utter one syllable to should know about your faith in Jesus and your relationship with Him.
You may be feeling a bit squeamish or even embarrassed at the thought of sharing your faith with your boss, the mailman, the cashier, the policeman...whoever. You may even say that it is inappropriate to share the Gospel while at work, gym, grocery store, etc. etc. etc.
They are merely excuses for you and every other Christian to stay silent while the world perishes.
Shame on all of us. There are people dying without Jesus by the hundreds of thousands by the day.
We are without excuse. Myself at the top of the list.
TUNE IN & TURN ON to tomorrow's 'Morning Routine' and we will read 5 Psalms and 1 Proverb and discuss how we can suck less as Christians.
God bless you.

Many yearn for the prestige and sense of accomplishment of having a published book. The world of publishing has changed, however. We no longer have to send out dozens of query letters and wait anxiously for a response that often never comes. Well-known books such as A Time to Kill by John Grisham and What Color Is Your Parachute? by Richard Nelson Bolles started as self published books before they became national bestsellers. There is also the story of Amanda Hocking who set out to make an extra few hundred dollars self publishing, but made $2.5 million instead. The number of self-published books in the United States annually has grown 287 percent since 2006, according to statistics. We now have the power in our own hands, but what do we do with it? Bestselling author Michelle Stimpson has penned several works, including national bestseller, Divas of Damascus Road, the highly acclaimed Falling Into Grace, and Amazon #1 bestseller, Stepping Down. She has also published more than 50 short stories through her educational publishing company. Michelle holds an English degree from Jarvis Christian College and master’s degree in education from the University of Texas at Arlington. She joins the show to share her trade secrets on how to sucessfully self publish your book! (www.MichelleStimpson.com)
