Change is in the air even in Washington. Despite the gridlock, the demand for political reform is so great that there are signs of hope in Washington. Craig Holman and Lisa Gilbert of Public Citizen are on the front lines pushing and prodding in Capitol Hill on behalf of citizens calling for good government reforms. We will discuss not only the details on the reintroduction of the DISCLOSE ACT and the passage of the STOCK ACT in Congress; ongoing efforts to petition the SEC on disclosing political spending by corporations; but also the big picture: Where is this all headed? What can we expect? What can we do?
Please join us as we wrap up our series on Prison Death Row Ministry with our guest, Bill Sadler. He is currently ministering to death row inmates as their “Officially Approved Spiritual Advisor”. As an ordained minister with a Doctorate of Divinity, not only does Bill have a BS in Psychology, an MA in Pastoral Studies with pastoral counseling, he also studied at St. Mary’s Catholic Seminary in Houston, immersed himself in a thorough cover to cover study of the Bible, and spent nearly 40 years in personal studies with the Urantia Book. He also worked for four years as an auditor of the work performed by newly released ex-convicts still residing in halfway houses.
Bill has taken on the project of doing outreach ministry at the Polunsky Unit Maximum Security Prison (known to inmates as the worst in the Texas penal system) with over 300 death row inmates at the maximum security Prison. He has been working for the past several months with various individuals on death row, who are now also Urantia Book students. This really is a good news story about previously hopeless inmates experiencing radical transformations of love and hope, as the true nature of our Universal Father’s love and mercy is revealed to them. This show features inspiring personal stories, along with the expanding mission of Minister Bill Sadler.

This weeks episode will be about the APD, MAYOR BERRY and our Police Chief GORDEN EDEN. They held a rather classless shooting contest last week in which police officers from all over the country come to Albuquerque to find out who is the better shooter. Many of these police officers have killed American citizens wrongfully and have never been brought to justice for their crime. The contest will award cash and other prices to the people that win. Its a shame that out mayor and Police Chief would allow such a contest to be held here in Albuquerque after the D.O.J. ruled that in many cases APD used excessive force on the public they swore to protect. So if you want to join the please call into the show which will be held 9/16/2014 12:00pm. Thanks
SUICIDE: WHAT ABOUT THOSE LEFT BEHIND?
We’ve all known a friend of a friend, or a family member, or even a celebrity who shocked and dumbfounded us because of his or her suicide. Your children may have school friends who have contemplated or carried out a suicide. Maybe a relative left you wondering for the rest of your life what you could have done. Perhaps you have had thoughts of killing yourself. Not a happy topic, for sure, but one which can affect all of us.
September is suicide awareness month, so this is a perfect time to discuss this topic and find out more about the whys and guilt that can accompany it.
Dr. Jill Harkavy-Friedman is responsible for research for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This includes gathering data from AFSP funded studies and communicating those findings to the larger community and public. She also collaborates on the development of prevention materials such as films, programs and brochures.
Dr. Harkavy-Friedman received her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Florida. In 1984 she joined Columbia University/New York State Psychiatric Institute, first as an assistant professor and later an associate professor of clinical psychology in psychiatry.
She has been studying suicidal behavior for more than 25 years and has more than 90 publications. As a licensed psychologist, she maintains a clinical practice at her office in Manhattan.

This episode will deal with different issues in connection with the government's idea of 'transparent" and "open" government. One such example is the first "negotiation" involving the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) Water Rights Compact that took place Sept 3, 2014.
Part one of the meeting was typical Delphi Theater. But part two, the public comment period, was the real eye opener. That will be played during the first hour and then open discussion about other examples of wink wink, behind close doors politics.
By the way , if you think this water rights compact is only a Flathead Lake Montana issue you better think again. If it's agreed to as written, the other 6 MT tribes have already decided to renegotiate their completed compacts. The CSKT Compact will impact all eleven southern Montana counties. And the CSKT Compact will set a precedent for the rest of the country. Maybe even in your neck of the woods.
An excellent site for information regarding this compact is Western Montana Water Rights.

James Kostelniuk was a Jehovah's Witness who knew when he left he would be shunned but the events that ocurred afterward he would not fathom in his worst nightmares. Divorced from his believing Jehovah's Witness spouse (Kim Anderson) who remarried to an appointed elder who would not only be a predator to James children but then serve as the executioner of his family. As seen on tv on the Investigation Discovery channel series, Season 2 episode 6 "Deadly Devotion: Witness To Murder," James will share his story as a warning to others about the policies from the destructive cult of the Jehovah's Witness that endanger the lives of the public and those within. He has written a book for purchase on amazon and other outlets entitled, "Wolves Amongst Sheep: The True Story of Murder in a Jehovah's Witness Community."
