In 2001 I experienced an emotional trauma and within six months was disabled with lupus, Crohn's, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, bi-polar, and multiple sclerosis (symptoms). I also suffered from chronic fatigue, brain fog, and hormonal imbalance (depression). In 2002 I was close to death and was totally bedridden. but I never gave up believing that something bad would turn into something good.
It did! In 2003, I found out what the "real" cause of cancer and disease was. It was an organism called mycoplasma, but there was no known treatment or "cure." It meant doom and gloom.
I had a curious mind. I wanted to know why I was so depressed that I wanted to die; why I was so chronically fatigued that I was bedridden; why I was wasting away; and much much more. So I started studying the organism and thanks to researchers like Dr. Harold Clark and whistle blowers like Donald W. Scott, I attribute and give thanks to them for what I know today.
Still very sick, I attended a mycoplasma conference in Sudbury, Canada in 2005. There, I had the opportunity to talk with Dr. Harold Clark (the keynote speaker) and he suggested I find a tetracycline IV which could inhibit it but not kill it. The immune system had to do that. So when I returned to St. Louis,

James Washburn was born and raised in rural Wisconsin, initiating an intimate rapport with the natural environment and life in the North Country. Drawing from his connections to native North American Indian and Inuit people, as well as a deep personal spiritual history in traditional Christianity, he weaves a story that transcends ethnicity and culture. He speaks to the universal desires of the human heart with simplicity and passion.
“Life is too important to spend it making a living” – has been Washburn’s mantra since youth. Choosing a three-decade career in education gave him time for extensive travel and experience within many of the most remote corners of North America. His appreciation for solitude and a self-reliant nature, however, belie his enthusiasm to promote an understanding of humanity’s interdependence and the unity of all people. Washburn’s education includes degrees in geography, health, and learning resources along with extensive scholarly study in historical theology and psychology. He is also an able photographer and experienced speaker. His current communion with Mother Earth has been a complete hike of the approximate 1,200 mile long Ice Age trail.
Robert L. Weber, Ph.D., the co-author of the new book The Spirituality of Age: A Seeker's Guide to Growing Older, addresses ways to embrace the shadow side of aging, while opening up to spiritual growth. Co-authored with Carol Orsborn, Ph.D., The Spirituality of Age insightfully explores meaningful personal reflections and 25 key questions, revealing that true growth arises through directly engaging with the fears and challenges aging brings our way. When we open up to the possibilities of feeling energized as we age, we can expand more freely into our authentic selves and discover the spiritual opportunities of growing older.
Robert (Bob) is a former Jesuit and an assistant professor of psychology, part-time, at Harvard Medical School. He also serves as a faculty member of Massachusetts General Hospital's Department of Psychiatry. He is the 2014 recipient of the American Society on Aging’s FORSA Award (Forum on Religion, Spirituality and Aging) recognizing his leadership, locally and nationally, in exploring the role of spirituality and religion in the aging services field. Bob has earned many honors and has held several prominent leadership roles throughout his academic and professional career. He has a private psychological practice in Cambridge, MA.

Polly grew up with six siblings in Mobile, Alabama, but was only 8 years old when her father died of lung cancer. Soon two neighborhood boys began to molest her, friends of her older twin brothers. A couple of years later she was assaulted by another neighbor and later by her older brother. She was able to break away from the abuse at the age of twelve, but was by then deep in the darkness of isolation. Polly is now a mother and grandmother, and has lived in Atlanta for the past 15 years and has become a devoted advocate for adult survivors of Child Sexual Abuse.
She began her organization, This One Step, to help older survivors of Child Sexual Abuse deal with the trauma of being part of what she has named, "The Unknown Generation" A generation of survivors who had nowhere to go for support. In her late teens she began writing as a coping mechanism to deal with the PTSD. Her three books, "Cider Blocks and Oven Racks", "Billy Wayne's Christmas Train" and "The Unknown Generation" will be available in early 2016. She has written many southern short stories which have been published in different publications. She is now hosting her own blogtalk radio show Monday through Friday beginning at 6:00am.

December is loaded with life atone births, and history way back past Nostradomus. How's Jesus Christ to start with, on the 25th. Nostro's birthday is Dec 14th, predictable each year since 1503. Army-Navy started playing a yearly football game in 1870. And, get this November fans - Thanksgiving was first officially celebrated in America in 1619. A true American hero - Woody Duffin, Sr. was born on Dec 5th, then two days following the young sailor's 20th birthday, his USS California was attacked at Pearl Harbor. He survived, as well as 17 of 21 trapped shipmates in a room full of swelling oil due to his ability to escape to help. That's what Bronze Stars are made of.
I'll touch on some Coping Skills. Brain Injury Coping Skills. Life Skills. What? Dunno yet. Let's see how the day goes and discuss our success or failures of Brain Injury Recovery. All is good, but get started EARLY after your injury in total therapy. Go slow, repeat if need be, practice the ''home work'' and learn how the frustrations can disappear - most the time, not always. And thank you Les Paul Morgan, for some banged head reason, I avoided music therapy for five years following my accident. He pushed my YouTube buttons. THAT"S how hard God hit me in the head....
