    The American Dahlia Society Celebrates 100 Years!

    The American Dahlia Society (ADS) was founded in 1915 and is composed of over 70 independent local societies in the US and Canada. They are proudly celebrating their 100th year!  In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to Harry Rissetto about the American Dahlia Society and their upcoming centennial celebration which will be held at Hofstra University on Long Island, New York from September 17th -21st. Harry graduated from Fairfield University with a B.A. in Biology. He attended Georgetown University Law Center and graduated with degree in law. He joined the Washington office of Morgan Lewis & Bockius and had been with the law firm for more than 44 years.  Harry Risetto has served as chair of the Board of Directors of the Woodstock Theological Center at Georgetown and chair of the American Horticultural Society.  He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the American Horticultural Society.  He has served as president of the American Dahlia Society and has written extensively about the cultivation of dahlias.            Blessings beautiful family and welcome back to another amazing show. Our first guest tonight is  Richard S. Asbury a Training and Development Professional.


    Richard has conducted over 2000 hrs of workshops on numerous Employee Development subjects. Time Management has been a one of his specialties for 20 years.  


     


    He  holds a  M.S. Ed, in Adult Education, from Cleveland State University, a  M.A. Ed  from Pepperdine University and a  B.S. Ed  from Ohio University .


     


    He is also an adjunct professor at Indiana Wesleyan University in the areas of  Human Resources, Total Quality Management and  basic Project Management .


     


    Prior to his business career Richard was an active duty Naval Officer for 21 years.  He served in the Surface and Special Warfare components of the Navy. Retiring as a Commander.


     


    Richard is happily married to Roxann and they have two grown children, and three grandchildren.


     


    Tonight he will give us a sample of his new book, “Tame Your Time”.
