Get Real! with Mark and Kally - The Laughter Lawyer Meets the Real Patch Adams

    in Health

    Laughter is the best medicine.

Debra Norwood, also known as The Laughter Lawyer, got to spend a week in the company of the renowned Patch Adams who is known for his work as a medical doctor and a clown.  He is founder of the Gesundheit! Institute.  He has some interesting views on healing and medicine.

At one point in his life he felt very suicidal and then enetered a mental hospital that changed him.  He wanted to become a medical doctor and help people.

Patch went on to start making his one dream into a reality. He believed that the medical system was twisted and that it cheated poor people. So, he decided that he wanted to build a hospital.  His Gesundheit Institute is not completely perfected, but it is up and running. One person said of the Institute: "There, amongst beautiful mountains, hardwood forests and waterfalls, Gesundheit advocates are constructing a wholistic rural hospital and healthcare community based on the vision of what healthcare should be like. That means patient care where laughter, joy and creativity will be an integral part of the healing process. Healthcare will be provided without cost and doctors will carry no malpractice insurance. Doctors and patients will relate to each other on the basis of mutual trust, and patients will receive plenty of time from their doctors. Allopathic doctors and practitioners of alternative medicine will work side by side."

You won't want to miss this interview.

    Global Prayers Partners

    in Prayer

Sheila Gale was stunned. Her daughter was waging a battle against a prolonged mystery illness-wasting away in the hospital attached to tubes and wires. Miserable to see her daughter endure such suffering, the longtime host of the hugely popular

The Sheila Show, reached out to her listener base for a desperate favor in the form of prayers. Inundated with responses, she read them to Natasha--all 450 of them--and within 48 hours, her daughter was healed and on her way home!

It was this remarkable experience that inspired GlobalPrayerPartners.com, a website to unite people who need prayers with those who are so willing to offer them.
