Domestic violence is a term used to characterize a pattern of obvious and subtle hash and brash behaviors resulting into physical and psychological abuses between partners in any types of intimate relationships or other members in a household. Domestic violence can be in a cumulative form of physical, emotional, verbal, economic and sexual abuse or any other type of control mechanism to coerce another individual perpetually. Consequences of domestic violence vary from anxiety, dismay, social disconnect, fragile mental state, tension, breakdown mental and unpredictable consequences such as illness, homicide or permanent disfigurement.
In 1994, the US Congress passed the Violence Against Women Act ("VAWA"). This Act, and the 1996 additions to the Act, recognizes that domestic violence is a national crime and that federal laws can help an overburdened state and local criminal justice system. Available practical information in the US federal domestic violence laws and penalties and the rights of federal victims can be found here: Federal Domestic Violence Laws http://www.justice.gov/usao/gan/documents/federallaws.pdf

Speakers include Chief Police Inspector Katarina Paulsson from Åmål Police in Sweden, and Police Investigator Karpla Karney from Pleebo Police in Liberia and NYPD representative from Domestic Violence Unit. We could sufficiently capture the framework for protection against domestic violence by spanning law enforcement policies across three continents, namely Africa, Europe, and America.
Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women between the ages of 15 and 44 in the United States—more than car accidents, muggings, and rape combined. A woman is more likely to be assaulted, injured, raped, or killed by a male partner than by any other type of assailant. If you are a victim of domestic violence, please know that you are not alone.
Domestic violence occurs in all economic, ethnic, and social backgrounds. The abuse is not your fault; no one deserves to be physically or emotionally abused. Many victims of domestic violence have changed their lives and escaped the abuse. Talking with someone is the first and most crucial step in getting the help you deserve. There are people in your community willing and able to help you.
We all have family members and friends that we are separated from for whatever reason. Sometime good, sometimes bad.
If it's for a bad reason, does that mean that you wouldn't help them out if they were in trouble? Probably not.
The allure of society's shiny objects of fame, counterfeit freedoms, influence, pleasure and power has driven many to refute and suppress God's truth to "pursue their own imaginations" (Isaiah 65:2), causing deception. Consequently, deception's misery has broken and imprisoned many with the enemy's tool of shame—and they're looking a mess. But consequently, there is a special opportunity for the Body of Christ to receive the broken. They're being released from their literal and/or spiritual prisons as new creations in Christ Jesus through the sharing of the Gospel. How will we receive them? With joy? Or like they have the cooties? Consequently, we have problems AND opportunities. Which will you be part of? Join us! U2's video "Song for Someone," featuring actor Woody Harrelson, gives insight on this topic. We'll also play new song "Water," by our brother in Christ and My Light Ministry addiction interventionist, Selepri Amachree.
