Most people know that Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all descended from Abraham, the Patriarch of the three Semitic faiths. If these three religious “children” all came from the same “Father” so to speak, why can’t they all just get along? The reason why Judaism, Christianity and Islam seem at odds with each other can be understood as a result of the original purpose for each religion. First off, Judaism was meant only for the Jewish people -- no one else.

God says in the Old Testament, in Deuteronomy 6:4, “Hear ye O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord.” This is exactly what Jesus himself quotes to his followers when they ask him: “What is the highest commandment?” Hardly surprising -- most people know Jesus was Jewish, that he was raised as a Jew and that he observed all the laws and rituals associated with Judaism. Jesus himself says he did not come to destroy the Mosaic Law (Matt. 5:17) and that his mission as stated in Matt. 15:24 was only to “gather the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel” – the Jews, in Judea and elsewhere. Specifically, Jesus came as the Messiah for the Jewish people to reform them of their worldliness and hard-heartedness. Jesus also came to prepare the Jews for their next Prophet, one who would be like Moses and whose type and nature of prophethood (Law-bearing verbal revelation) along with the location of his advent (Mount Paran in Arabia) are mentioned clearly in Deuteronomy 18:18-21 and Deuteronomy 33:2. (Paul, a Rabbinical Jew educated under Gamaliel in the exegesis of the Torah and its numerous prophecies, must certainly have understood these prophecies and their import. This would explain why he went to Arabia for three years after initially converting to Christianity in 35 AD.

The True Concept of Anti Christ - Dajjal

    in Islam

Anti Christ (Dajjal) is not the name of one man. According to the Arabic lexicon, Ani Christ/Dajjal signifies a group of people who present themselves as trustworthy and pious, but are neither trustworthy nor pious. Rather, everything they say is full of dishonesty and deceit. This characteristic is to be found in the class of Christians known as the clergy. An- other group is that of the philosophers and thinkers who are busy trying to assume control of machines, industries and the Divine scheme of things.  They are the Dajjal because they deceive God’s creatures by their actions and tall claims as if they are partners in God’s dominion. The clergy are arrogating to themselves the status of Prophethood because they ignore the true heavenly Gospel and spread a perverted and corrupted version as the supposed translation of the Gospel.

If Dajjal is taken to mean someone other than the misguided preachers of Christianity, this would entail a contradiction, because the very Ahadith which indicate that the Dajjal will prevail over the earth in the latter days, also indicate that in those days the power of the church will overwhelm all religions. This contradiction can only be solved by affirming that the two are one and the same.

    Persecution Of Divine Communities

    in Islam

We firmly believe that the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace), Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, India was from God as we observe signs of God’s support for him each step of the way as well as fulfilment of Divine promises made to him. We also witness fulfilment of whatever he foretold.

When divine communities progress, their detractors try their utmost to stop their progress by means of force or through the help of supporters whom they deem powerful. At times, they also surreptitiously and cunningly try to take those who have weak faith or who lack Tarbiyyat or adolescents away from the truth. This is why each Ahmadi should increase his or her religious knowledge and be aware of what he or she believes in and why he or she believes it so that they can respond to such covert enemies. In addition, and more importantly, we should pray for our belief because without God’s grace nothing can come to pass. For this, God has taught us a prayer: ‘Our Lord, let not our hearts become perverse after Thou hast guided us; and bestow on us mercy from Thyself; surely, Thou alone art the Bestower. (3:9). Thus one’s belief is safeguarded by God’s mercy alone and this is why a humble person is ever in need of His help, indeed, should be in need of His help. Hudhur said at times people write to him asking that if the prophethood aspect of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) is not mentioned in discussions etc. it lessens the hostility.
