"The Jesuits Today" The Vatican Jesuit Global Conspiracy

    in History

    THE JESUITS TODAY

Many Americans, of course, while paying half-hearted attention to such historical matters are convinced that although there may be some misdeeds in history, the Jesuits of the present have changed. Others seem to believe that the intrigue of the Jesuits is needed today to counteract the communist menace.

    G. Gordon Liddy of Watergate fame was taught by the Jesuits, and nowhere does he apologize for their teachings or for his philosophy of life which is based on the Jesuit teaching that the end justifies the means. In fact, he unashamedly advocates this teaching as the only way that America can survive. In his autobiography he states:

Fordham was a feast for the mind and a challenge to the spirit. To begin with, it was still under the absolute control of the Jesuits...As much as I had admired the German Benedictines, I admired the Jesuits more... The Society of Jesus was something special—the shock troop of the Catholic Church.1

He goes on to say that Heinrich Himmler used it as the model for his dreaded black-uniformed SS in Hitler's Germany and that the SS swore a special oath of loyalty to the Fuhrer, just as the highest order of the Jesuits swore a special oath of loyalty to the Pope. Liddy says later on that "just as I do, John Sirica believes the end justifies the means."

The Jesuits obviously have gained respectability in our time. They have come a long way since John Adams, the second President of the United States, wrote in a letter to Thomas Jefferson: "If ever there was a body of men who merited eternal damnation on earth and in Hell, it is this Society of Loyola.

Vernon Dalhart (1883 – 1948) born Marion Try Slaughter, was a popular American singer and songwriter of the early decades of the 20th century. He is a major influence in the field of country music. He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1970, into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1981 and into the Gennett Records Walk of Fame in 2007

USS Shenandoah was the first of four United States Navy rigid airship. It was built in 1922–1923 at Lakehurst Naval Air Station, and first flew in September 1923.  And made the first crossing of North America by airship. USS Shenandoah crashed on land (and thus be suitable as a tourist attraction). On September 3, 1925, it was ordered to conduct an ill-advised publicity tour of Midwestern state fairs. Less than 24 hours into its flight "the strongest airship in the world" was caught in a thunderstorm, torn to pieces, and scattered across the rolling hills of Noble County in southeastern Ohio.

Fatherless children and the impact of not having one

    in Culture

children from fatherless homes are more likely to be poor, become involved in drug and alcohol abuse, drop out of school, and suffer from health and emotional problems. Boys are more likely to become involved in crime, and girls are more likely to become pregnant as teens.

    – Children in father-absent homes are almost four times more likely to be poor. In 2011, 12 percent of children in married-couple families were living in poverty, compared to 44 percent of children in mother-only families.

There is significantly more drug use among children who do not live with their mother and father.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services states, “Fatherless children are at a dramatically greater risk of drug and alcohol abuse.”

Data from three waves of the Fragile Families Study (N= 2,111) was used to examine the prevalence and effects of mothers’ relationship changes between birth and age 3 on their children’s well being. Children born to single mothers show higher levels of aggressive behavior than children born to married mothers. Living in a single-mother household is equivalent to experiencing 5.25 partnership transitions.

Children in grades 7-12 who have lived with at least one biological parent, youth that experienced divorce, separation, or nonFather involvement in schools is associated with the higher likelihood of a student getting mostly A’s. This was true for fathers in biological parent families, for stepfathers, and for fathers heading single-parent families.union birth reported lower grade point averages than those who have always lived with both biological parents.

Father involvement in schools is associated with the higher likelihood of a student getting mostly A’s. This was true for fathers in biological parent families, for stepfathers, and for fathers heading single-parent families.

    The Real Truth

    in Christianity

Who is big enough to stop you from proclaiming Jesus Christ was born of a virgin?  Who is big enough to stop you from proclaiming Jesus Christ died for the sins of the entire world? Who is big enough to stop you from proclaiming Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead?  Who is big enough to stop you from proclaiming Jesus Christ is sitting on the right side of God the Father? Who is big enough to stop you from proclaiming Jesus Christ’s return back to earth?  Who is big enough to stop you from proclaiming the Holy Spirit lives inside of you?  The truth is no one can stop you but you from proclaiming the kingdom of God to those in darkness. You have the responsibility to make sure those in your presence know they have redemption from God the Father through the blood of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit. I love you!

Around Mackinac Island and Destination Speed Dating at #SATW

    in Travel

Mackinac Island, named by Native Americans for its shape as a turtle, is a northern Michigan island made famous by the Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour movie, "Somewhere in Time".  Just as the Victorian-period movie reflected, Mackinac Island has maintained its old world charm.  Many of the buildings reflect Victorian architecture and there are only two ways to travel around the 9 mile island--by bicycle or horse drawn carriage.  Join World Footprints as wel explore the island by horse drawn carriage today.

There are only two ways to travel to the island from the mainland--small plane or ferry.  World Footprints had the pleasure of meeting Chris Shepler of Shepler's Ferry on one such journey between the island and the lower peninsula of Michigan.  Chris shared the imporance of his family's legacy and Shepler Ferry's philanthropic mission.  Chris also gave Tonya and opportunity to play Captain as she navigated the waters of Lake Huron at the helm.

Finally, World Footprints had a chance to meet representatives from a number of East Coast destinations at a Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) conference.  We did a bit of speed dating with each travel destination to discover the special things that each offers to travelers.  Pack your bags and stay tuned to see what adventures await.
