Eric Broyles is an entrepreneur, attorney, and author who recently published “Encounters with Police: A Black Man’s Guide to Survival” with co-author and police officer Adrian Jackson. The book comes at a critical time in our nation, tackling the controversy surrounding the slayings of unarmed African American men by law enforcement officers and providing guidance to African American boys and men on how to survive encounters with police. Specifically, the book offers advice on how to think about interaction with police to lower the chances of escalation, provides information on legal and administrative rights citizens have to redress police misconduct so no hostilities occur at the time of encounter, and includes practical step-by-step guidelines on how to respond to police when pulled over for traffic stops or when stopped for questioning outside of traffic encounters. In a recent interview on Washington DC’s Fox 5 Morning News, Broyles stated that while the book is titled “A Black Man’s Guide to Survival,” the tips are race and gender neutral. He points out that by and large, police officers are not bad actors, but in cases where minorities “face targeting, hostility, and bias,” they should go through the complaint process where “you actually start to build a paper trail which will help the police department ferret out who the bad actors are. Can you imagine if Darren Wilson in Ferguson had five written complaints on him prior to the Michael Brown incident?” he asked. Broyles’ book is available on Amazon,
When an immigrant violates U.S. immigration laws, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) may initiate removal proceedings against the violator.
The following individuals can be subject to removal/deportation: Any person who commits a serious crime in the United States, Aliens who overstay their visa, Any person who commits fraud and/or misrepresented themselves to gain an immigration benefit, An alien who works in the United States without authorization to do so, A student who falls out of status; never has or no longer attends school.
The DHS is the umbrella agency for sub-agencies like ICE and USCIS. DHS, ICE, USCIS and all other sub-agencies are collectively called the “government.”
The Immigration Court (IC) was set up to settle two main issues: First, it determines an alien’s admissibility. Second, it determines an alien’s removability/deportability (only the government is allowed to initiate removal proceedings).

Meet author David Merkatz, he's the author of the book Wrongly Charged: A Look at the Legal System.
This book is making quite an impact due to some of the recent headlines dealing with police and abuse of power.
About the book:
What would you do if you were arrested and wrongly charged with a crime? It can happen in the blink of an eye. It’s not supposed to happen in the United States, but it can at any time. After being advised by his attorney in 2013 that his new marketing strategy was legal, Florida locksmith David Merkatz was shocked to learn he was under criminal investigation. Then he was arrested and charged with money laundering and an organized scheme to defraud. With the flip of a switch, he was facing a 20-year prison sentence. He was terrified. Life as he knew it was over, and it happened in an instant. But David Merkatz was determined to fight back.
About the author:
Until 2013, David Merkatz made his living as a locksmith in Coconut Creek, FL. Life, he thought, was pretty good. While there were some trademark issues with his business, he was making a living and enjoying his life. That all changed August of 2013, when police arrested David Merkatz and charged him and two of his fellow locksmiths, Peter Lomagistro and Joshua Levy, with a host of crimes ranging from money laundering to petty theft.

We have another case in the news of a black man being killed by the police. This has brought out activists, race pimps, students, pastors, and just about everybody else for Freddie Gray. One thing the media won't touch is the fact Freddie Gray and many of the other black men had long history of criminal activities. They were already headed down the road to be dead by their actions. Why am I suppose to be marching for them when you can say with almost certainty they have participated in activities that has lead to injury and death of other black men? The problem is we have everybody marching after these black men are killed but nobody stepping in before these clowns start their criminal careers. These hoodlums are the reasons other hoodlums are tearing up their neighborhood and innocent people are suffering from the loss of property and amenities. Now it is the problem that the National Guard and a heavier police presence is required to restore law and order. Tell me why are we blinking an eye at this foolishness. Now the State's Attorney has decided to file charges against the six police officers for the death of Freddie Gray
The Cool Critics, will spin their thoughts and conversation around BALTIMORE. Protests have developed around the country, talk being generated around the world. Eyes are on BALTIMORE and MARILYN MOSBY the state attorney. Conflicting views on the speed of the conviction of the 6 officers. One attorney stated, there was no rush, but media and other sources claim M Mosby RUSHED too fast. Conflicting comments on Freddie Gray. A Black city, with turmoil and other issues. WHAT UP?
