    Pro-Choice Birthing

    in Religion

For the final week of cesarean awareness month, Dr Pauline and Catherine want to talk to you about your options.  There are many, many wonderful birth professionals out there that are excited to help you navigate your pregnancy and birth.  The thing is, it's very important to choose the RIGHT one for YOU.  There are many (too many) birth professionals who are so worried about the letters behind their name (because they've certified with one organization or another) that they have put that ahead of doing what is best for Mom & baby.  For example, some doulas, instead of advocating, are quietly letting the doctor and medical staff take advantage of the one person they were there to stand up for in order to protect their certification.  Anyone not willing to advocate for you because they don't want to upset a hospital staff member is not the one you want to be there for your birth.  There are plenty of choices out there.  Pray.  Listen.  Go with what God tells you.  Simple as that.

As always, we welcome your comments and questions through Facebook (Dunamas Center Ministries), and Twitter (@YourDunamasLife).

    ANNOUNCEMENTS:

We are officially moved into our new building at 2143 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80909!
Watch for Dr Pauline's new book, "Won't Somebody Please Hear Me?  Healing from Birth Traumatomology Syndrome"...Coming soon!
Open House/Fundraiser on June 4th, 3-7pm.  If you're in the area, please RSVP if you can make it.  If you're not, we will also have online options to support Dunamas Center Ministries - stay tuned.

Experience Empowerment By Saying NO And Meaning It

    in Spirituality

Saying NO can be the hardest two letter that you can ever utter, and the most empowering.  Saying no to your loved ones, to your children, husband and family and friends is monumentally challenging. Saying no to your employer and work colleagues is challenging also, but from a different stand point, but challenging none the less.  Saying no to people asking for charitable donations and no to the destitute, displaced and homeless asking for money, while standing on the corner with a hand written sign, has another set of challenges, all of which play havoc with your emotions.  Saying no to certain things can be a no-brainer.  No, you cannot have my left and right kidney!  No! I’m not giving you your car keys; you might not be aware of this, but you’re drunk.
Within all of this, the irony here is, that the person you find it hardest to utter those two syllables to, and mean it, is yourself.  Saying no can hurt you too, because you know that it’s not what the other person wants to hear and they're hurting. There is nothing that you can do about their hurt, other than to be truthful in who you are.  By empowering you; you empower them.

Join me Dr. Wendy Dearborne choice expert and life coach and Olivia Lashley expressions coach and artist as we explore empowerment through saying no.

Talking Motorcycles with AMA Pro Hillclimb/Troy Bayliss

    in Sports

Amanda Campbell has been around Hillclimbing her entire life. At the age of three she started racing in hillclimbs. She finished second in the amateur National Championships in the 125cc Class in 2002 and won the Women's Class in 2010. In 2009 she joined her husband in the AMA Pro Hillclimb Series in the Pro Sport Class on her CRF450. She became the first female to podium in the pro ranks with a second place finish her first race. Her career accomplishments were two second places in her first season and two third places in her second season. In 2012, she dedicated her efforts to the series by becoming involved in every aspect of the sport, from official duties to managing the Series and events to social media to marketing and to promoting the sport and the Series.

Vinny Nuzzolilli, out of Monson, Massachussetts, started racing 1998 at the age of 4. He joined the AMA Pro Hillclimb Series in 2010 at the age of 16. He has accomplished 21 top 3, including 8 career wins. He has won two Unlimited Class National Championships, in 2012 and 2014. He suffered a severe leg fracture in the next to last round in 2013 that put him out of contention for the Championship. As reigning Champion he looks to add to his resume of wins and podiums and go after a third Unlimited Class Championship in 2015. He competes in both the Xtreme Class and Unlimited Class on a CBR 636 and CBR 970 fueled by nitromethane.

Troy Bayliss will be calling in to discuss his experience at the IMDA Springfield Mile. We look forward to hearing his thoughts about the race, the fans and his fellow competitors. Was it what he expected? We find out in this episode of Talking Motorcycles powered by SOZO!
