The debut show of a new show on EOTP Radio called Ears on the Prize, with hosts Andrew Berkshire and Mike Obrand.
Today's episode will cover a range of topics from where Douglas Murray fits with the Canadiens, which Habs have the best shots of being Olympians, the biggest worries going into the 2013-14 season, and a brief season review to get us all up to speed going into October.
Eric Engels joins the show tonight to do a full season preview of the Montreal Canadiens.

Today's show is heavily focused on the role of fighting in the NHL and whether it has a lasting place in the sport. Friend of the site, Jay Baruchel is going to way in on the topic, as fighting is close to his heart. His smash hit "Goon" was dedicated to the memory of his father.
Is the NHL trying to get rid of fighting without actually explicitly doing it?
Was Kessel's reaction to John Scott justifiable?
After we tackle fighting, we'll look at the Habs' preseason thus far, and who has a shot to make the team, and then we'll be talking to two Bruins writers to preview the Habs and Bruins rivalry.
Today we are going to explore the topic of afterschool activities and the prize culture. Have we gone too far with the afterschool activities? Have we gone too far with all of the awards our children are recieving. Did they actually earn that award? Did they really want that award. Do you feel as though every small accomplishment deserves a reward?
"Pulp Friction with Paul Levine" is excited to welcome to the studio, the incomparable, the funny, the crazy Dave Barry for an hour of laughter and book talk. Dave has been a professional humorist ever since he discovered that professional humor was a lot easier than working.
For many years Dave wrote a newspaper column that appeared in more than 500 newspapers and generated thousands of letters from readers who thought he should be fired. Despite this, Dave won the Pulitzer Prize for commentary, although he misplaced it for several years, which is why his wife now keeps it in a secure location that he does not know about. One of Dave's olumns was largely responsible for the movement to observe International Talk Like a Pirate Day every year on September 19. This is probably his most enduring achievement.
Dave will be interviewed by award-winning novelist Paul Levine, author of the Jake Lassiter series, most recently "State vs. Lassiter." http://www.paul-levine.com
