Sam Thurman, Cliff Stewart and Lisa Stewart of the Colorado exoneration firm A Just Cause, discuss what happens when the wheels of justice trample unbridled over the rights of innocent Americans.
Although the American system of justice is the most-respected worldwide, it is still a system designed, and operated, by humans, which means it's not perfect. Sam, Cliff, and Lisa will highlight ongoing struggles against "the system" to free wrongfully imprisoned people, and what happens when justice miscarries against an actually innocent person.
Our Special Guest for tonight's show is Arnie Alpert, New Hampshire Program Coordinator, who will be sharing information about our government's federal spending and privatization of prisons in the U.S.
A Just Cause is currently campaigning for "FreeTheIRP6," who's been wrongly imprisoned in Florence, CO for a crime they didn't commit. Read full story: www.freetheirp6.org.

As I reported on earlier this week for The Fifth Column News twice in the past fifteen days, two separate class action lawsuits, one in U.S. District Court, one in Grady County Superior Court, were filed naming Red Hills Community Probation (RHCP) LLC, its CEO Margaret B. Crutchfield, and the cities of Cairo, Pelham and Bainbridge, GA, as defendants. The Federal case, Edwards, et al, v Red Hills Community Probation LLC, et al, filed by the Southern Center for Human Rights, also names probation officers and members of various police departments. The state case, Green v Red Hills, et al, alleges the defendants violated a number of state statutes including various RICO laws as well. The two cases, though not connected in any way, arise out of nearly identical facts and the same pattern of conduct. Joining me this morning to discuss the merits of the case is Attorney for the Plaintiff in Green, K, Todd Butler. Attorney Butler will discuss the allegations and the law supporting his decision to advance a RICO legal argument to the court. Along with the improper and illegal actions of a corporation acting "under color of state law", for the sole purpose of profit. I will be covering the latest important news subjects as well as our weekly education battle updates. Longtime Activist, Radio Host, Journalist and Coffee Party Director Bobby Rodrigo's show "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" on Coffee Party USA Radio every Sunday Morning at 8:30AM EDT. Teach the Children Well: The Battle for Public Education featuring Diane Ravitch, one of the foremost authorities on education in the U.S.,former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Education, whistle-blower etraordinaire, author of the best-selling The Death and Life of the Great American School System, Reign of Error:The Hoax of the Privatization Movement and the Danger to America's Public Schools and other notable books on education history and policy " incisive, comprehensive looks at today s American public school system that argue against those who claim it is broken and beyond repair; an impassioned but reasoned call to stop the privatization movement that is draining students and funding from our public schools.
NYS Governor Cuomo manipulated the state budget, holding up its passage, until it included the hugely unpopular and anti-worker practice of pegging teachers tenure and evaluations to standardized tests grade results. While dropped from inclusion in the budget the Governors desire to see the proliferation of charter schools remains a mainstay on his educational agenda. These issues have been been heating up ever since Pres. Bush s No Child Left Behind plan, but especially since the roll out of Race to The Top and the Common Core State Standards so Building Bridges decided to tackle these issues with with Diane Ravitch, who infuses research, about the recent history of education policy reform, the strategies used for fighting back against these policies, and who proposes solutions that work to create sustainable, equitable, anti-racist, democratic and meaningful public education. Our conversation with Diane Ravitch is for anyone interested in an insider s look and leading a resistance or forming an organization towards reclaiming our public schools and reclaiming the public narrative around education policy.

Last week the majority in the state legislature, under the leadership of Gov. Sam Brownback passed a new controversial law providing "block grant" funding to our public schools. The agenda has many critics, and may force a constitutional crisis in the supreme court. Later this week from March 28 - 30 people will be walking from Johnson County (NE Kansas) to the Topeka statehouse to raise awareness and promote participation of the public.
Information about this event is at Game on for Kansas Schools. Stay tuned to RFK for updates.
Today we will broadcast a special program on the corporate attempt to take over and privatize our public schools with Charter Schools. The show will expose how the "reform" movement under Obama's "Race to the Top" is being used as a guise to bring about this privatization of our public schools. You'll learn how they're doing it, who's behind it and what you can do about it.
The Assault on Public Education is produced in the studio of WWUH 91.3 FM at the University of Hartford and airs on the last Monday of every month from 12- 1:00 PM.. at WWUH 91.3 FM (www.wwuh.org)

Our guest will be Janine Blaeloch, Founder & Director of Western Lands Project, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that fights public land privatization in order to protect the environment and the public interest. Their mission is to scrutinize public land trades, sales, giveaways, and any project that would cede public land. Their goal is to keep public land public.
Janine will talk about the destructive utility-scale solar plants planned on 19 million acres of public lands open to industrial solar applications, instead of alternatives that would focus solar development on degraded lands and in the already-built environment.
Each year, approximately 200 land deals are proposed by the Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service, in addition to those introduced by legislation. The BLM & the Forest Service do exchanges of land with private parties, including timber companies, mining corporations, ranchers, and developers
While the two sides must get lands of equal market value, and the exchange must create a net benefit for the public, the appraisal process can be corrupted and the public interest is often ignored. For years, the Forest Service was trading lushly forested lands to timber companies in exchange for the cut-over, damaged land the companies had already exploited.
And in the U.S. Congress, members wheel, deal, carve up, and give away public lands with no regulations to hinder them. Frequently, the bottom line is the direct, pragmatic opportunity to reward friends or curry political favor through the gift of public land.
To all Lardy Miss Clardy listeners! If you have been through this issue come join me and tell your story!
I also want to add, that on last night's program there was technical difficulties beyond my control...so let's do it again!
?"Child Support Enforcement (CSE) Agencies have exploded in power and size over the last 40 years. They are the money engine underwriting the divorce and domestic violence industry that relies on the family courts' anti-father and unconstitutional denial of a fit father's parental rights so as to impose almost endless and extorted payments from him. This imposed and extorted 'obligation' violates the 13th amendment's prohibition of involuntary servitude.
Stop Slavery and Demand Parental Rights"
