Tonight, will have one of our most important shows of the year! Coach Eric Jackson, is coming into the BYGP Locker Room, to talk about NCAA academic and football recruiting information. There are rules and regulations in place for young players that want to receive a college football scholarship. Coach Jackson, will help guide us through what those rules and regulations mean, and how to position ourselves for success!
Coach, has over 27 years of experience as a defensive backs coach at schools like Cal Poly, Princton, and Portland State, just to name a few. But he has creeated a business, to help aspiring college players stay on track with their core course grades, SAT/ACT scores, and recruiting timelines.
This is definitely a can't miss show, for the player who has what it takes on the field, and now wants to know what it takes in the classroom. Join us!
Nation of Islam Youth Council presents Bridging the Gap: Uniting Muslims and Christians Families......Guest are Bro. Melech Thomas, Princton Seminary student and Student Ishmaeri Muhammad from the Nation of Islam.
"(A new study) by experts at Columbia, Princton, Harvard and other institutions, show that the huge pool of poorly educated black men are becoming ever more disconnected from the mainstream society, and to a far greater degree than comparable white or Hispanic men.
Especially in the country's inner cities, the studies show, finishing high school is the exception, legal work is scarcer than ever and prison is almost routine, with incarceration rates climbing for blacks even as urban crime rates have declined." --- New York Times, 2006
Considering this and what we already know about conditions for young black men, we ask black callers, Tweeple and Facebook Friends this one question: Do YOU racially profile our own young, black men? If so, why? And, what do you think we can do about it?
We also introduce our new Fitness Vitamin segment, a five minute moment of information about health and fitness by runner/swimmer/biker and yogi host Janita Poe.
