This week’s podcast comes courtesy of a blog posted by a young man studying at The Princeton Theological Seminary. He asks the question which titles our podcast: How Would Jesus Date? Intriguing to me. Even better are the thoughts he shares with us. Thank you, John Paul Cooke for sharing these thoughts and allowing me to use them in this podcast.
Born in Alabama, I was a gypsy for much of my life. I’ve been privileged to live in amazing places from Washington, D.C. to Orlando, FL, and even Minot N.D! I now make my home in the Chattanooga, TN area. I came here in 2000, and with the exception of a short sojourn away due to family responsibilities, this has become my adopted home town. (Check it out here.)
I have been a communicator all my life. Starting with theater in high-school and college, I have worked with people through sales and sales management or customer service positions for my entire professional life.
I am married with one son and a step-daughter and two granddaughters and a grandson on the way!

The equivalency of giving and receiving is emphasized throughout A Course in Miracles. The first of the Holy Spirit’s lessons is: “To have, give all to all.” Yet this idea is so radically different from what we believe that all too often we misunderstand it, leading to an unnecessary and unhelpful sense of guilt and/or acts of sacrifice.
Join Char and Dr. Bob on Thursday, May 14th at 3:00 pm EST as they explore this important subject together.
A Course in Miracles Text: Chapter 4.III.9; Chapter 6.V.A.5 & B.3; Chapter 12.III.1; Chapter 20.II.2.
Workbook Lessons: 108 and 344
A student of A Course in Miracles since before it was published, Dr. Bob was a close personal friend of Bill Thetford, Ph.D. (Co-Scribe of ACIM) and has served on the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Inner Peace, publisher of the Course, since 1992. He is a board-certified psychiatrist in private practice near Princeton, New Jersey and the author of From Plagues to Miracles: The Transformational Journey of Exodus, From the Slavery of Ego to the Promised Land of Spirit. The book interprets the Biblical story of Exodus and demonstrates the ego’s perception of life’s conditions.
