Do You Pretend to Be Someone You Aren't?

    in Self Help

Do You Pretend to Be Someone You Aren't?

Do you pretend to be someone other than who you are?  Is that a bad thing?  It depends.  The power of the mind is awesome.   As children, many of us pretended to be cowboys, cowgirls, doctors, nurses, fashion models, white rabbits and many other things.  This would transition us to another world.  As teenagers, many of us forgot to use the power of our imagination and fell into feelings of inferiority or not being enough.  As adults, we know the mind is powerful and know that what we believe is what usually comes about.  So could it be a good thing to pretend?  As long as you are anchored in reality, knowing the truth about you and your situation.  Then you can use the power of your imagination for good…for your success.

Napoleon Hill once said, “The imagination is the workshop of the soul.”  This is where we can create who we want to be and what we want in our lives.

Pretending can be very powerful.  If you want to travel the world, why not start cutting out pictures of all the places you want to go and put them in a scrapbook.  Then write out what you will need to take with you to each of these places, who you will go with, what you will do while you are there.

You can use the art of visualization to become whomever you would like to become as well. Picture who you want to be...exactly as you want to be. This doesn’t mean you have to quit working .  In fact, you may have to work harder,  You must see in your mind who you want to be and what that person would be like and then take consistent action to make it come about.

Join Choices host, Judi Moreo, author of You Are More Than Enough and licensed hypnotherapist, to find out how you can use the power of your mind to be the person you want to be.

In The Gap ' Painting Pictures With Prayer Part 2' January 28, 2015

    in Lifestyle

    General Description:

'In the GAP', is a weekly hour of powerful global prayer aimed at immersing ourselves in the Spirit and letting God direct our attention to current areas of practical need. Together, we can bridge 'gaps' and build 'hedges' here on earth from the heavenly dimension. Join us in an effort to do more than talk about problems or pretend they don't exist! Jesus is still the answer to the pressing conditions and critical world affairs we all face - so lets 'BE' His Body!

Specific Episode:   Painting Pictures With Prayer Part 2

The power of prayer lies in its ability to help us create the picture God is trying to paint on the canvas of our lives.  This is particularly true when it comes to the kind of prayer known in scripture as intercession.  It is an art form we learn to flow with the Holy Spirit in on our journey through the spiritual side of life.  In this way, the Lord uses us as His canvas to draw out His will and connect His people in the process.  Rocky discusses this while reading from Kenneth E. Hagin's book the "Art of Intercession."  As always, we end by practicing what we are learning.

While President Obama and the left like to pretend that they oppose bullying with all their hearts and souls, the truth is far darker: the left is the greatest purveyor of bullying in modern American history. Bullying has morphed into the left’s go-to tactic, as they attempt to quash their opponents through fear, threat of force, violence, and rhetorical intimidation on every major issue facing America today.

The Axiom Radio Program: Letting the air out of the ball

    in Current Events

Please join Nate and Jay for another exciting adventure of The Axiom Radio Program, back at our normal time of 8pm ET on Thursday. We will talk about the kickoff of Obama's pretend 3rd presidential campaign (disguised as a State of the Union), the fact that all the sports world is talking about deflated balls, that champions of individual rights come from the most unexpected places sometimes, the police might stop working with the federal government to rob you (er, seize your assets), Darren Wilson isn't going to jail after all (as much as the Department of Justice may have wanted people to think he was), and MUCH MORE (maybe, depends on our mood).

The Pressures of being a good Christian

    in Religion

Most of us feel it but few of us ever say it out loud that the one problem we have with being a good Christian is the pressures that having that title brings with it.  We claim that following closely the Ten Commandments is far too rigid and gets harder and harder to up hold.  They say that one or several of them are easier to do but to keep faith in each and every one of them presents what appears to be one insurmountable problem.  Their answer to this dilemma, throw your hands up and quit.  Stop believing and question everything or plainly just pretend.  Would you believe me if I told you that the pressures you attribute to being a good Christian has nothing to do with being a good Christian at all.  Would you believe me if I told you that being a good Christian is as simple as breathing and rest not with the masses but strictly with the individual?  Probably not, but never let it be said that I would allow anything like that to stop me from sharing with you my thoughts on the subject.

    Awakening to Spirit

    in Spirituality

TPN Radio Presents the Awakening to Spirit Show with Rev. Sinlou Ingraffia.

Rev. Sinlou is the Owner and CEO of True Psychics Network LLC, an International Psychic Medium, an ordained Metaphysical Minister, Spiritual Teacher, and Reiki Master Teacher.

She is of Cherokee Heritage and was born Indigo (empathetic and intuitive with special gifts). With over 25 years of experience, she utilizes her gifts as a psychic medium by channeling, clairvoyance, clairaudience, working with Angels and tarot cards.

Sinlou is a Reiki and Shamanic Healing Practitioner, and also an ordained Metaphysical Minister from Rev. Michael Carbone, Founder and Sr. Pastor of Be The Light Metaphysical Center.

    Special Guest: Eddie Mullins

Eddie has been communicating with the Angels and Spirit, since he was a small child; he has been working with Archangel Michael since the age of 6 or 7.  As a child, Eddie always felt different, and on some level knew that he was different from the people around him.  He could always connect to the soul level of people that he encountered; energy and information would flow through him.  He would pick the integrity, the story, messages, energy and, often, the past lives of those he encountered.  Eddie’s upbringing was not in a metaphysical family, which forced him to keep everything inside. This left him feeling very isolated, alone and having to pretend to be a regular child.  As a sensitive child, every night Eddie was visited by energies (spirits) seeking help, this left him terrified of being alone during the night.  Instinctively, Eddie was born knowing who Jesus, the Angels and God were, and often turned to them for safety, deep conversations and guidance.

Jesus sees you throwing those rocks!

    in Christianity

I threw a rock and missed my brother, I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn, so that was good.  I will never forget the feeling that I knew my dad had seen me, but I tried to pretend he had not.  I took a beating that day, but it was necessary.  Jesus sees the heart, so he knows every game you are playing!
