Hey, President Obama, your ISIS plan is not working. Major General Paul E. Vallely joins Joe to discuss. I'm sure he'll have some good suggestions as to how we should be proceeding.
Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?
There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective.
Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting.
But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree!
If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!
It’s not the right side, it’s not the wrong side, but the REAL side of the issues!
PRESDIENT BARACK OBAMA ADDRESSES THE NATION ABOUT THE MAJOR THREAT OF ISIL/ISIS
The White House (CNN) -- My fellow Americans -- tonight, I want to speak to you about what the United States will do with our friends and allies to degrade and ultimately destroy the terrorist group known as ISIL.
As Commander-in-Chief, my highest priority is the security of the American people. Over the last several years, we have consistently taken the fight to terrorists who threaten our country. We took out Osama bin Laden and much of al Qaeda's leadership in Afghanistan and Pakistan. We've targeted al Qaeda's affiliate in Yemen, and recently eliminated the top commander of its affiliate in Somalia. We've done so while bringing more than 140,000 American troops home from Iraq, and drawing down our forces in Afghanistan, where our combat mission will end later this year. Thanks to our military and counterterrorism professionals, America is safer.
The Dallas County Commissioners Court is planning to call a special meeting for Thursday to discuss whether to request that Gov. Rick Perry declare a local emergency because of the Ebola crisis. The meeting will be at 2 p.m. at the County Administration Building, 411 Elm Street in Dallas.According to state law, a declaration of emergency “activates the appropriate recovery and rehabilitation aspects of all applicable local or interjurisdictional emergency management plans and authorizes the furnishing of aid and assistance under the declaration.”
Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said they probably will include restrictions on using public transportation and visiting areas where they’d be at risk of transmitting Ebola.President Barack Obama vowed a more aggressive federal role.He offered assurance that a “serious outbreak” remains extremely unlikely — a somewhat weaker promise than one last week, when he said the threat of any outbreak remained “extremely low.”“I want people to understand that the dangers of you contracting Ebola, the dangers of a serious outbreak, are extraordinarily low,” Obama said. “But we are taking this very seriously at the highest levels of government.”Dallas Morning News
Being the first African American president is a success in itself, some may say. But what about the economy? Foreign policy? Social justice? In your opinion, has President Obama made things better? Or are we worse off than before? Why do you think this way
While Barack Obama is one of the most well-known people on Earth, very little is known about his family and his origins. In his own books he was written glowingly about his father, Barack Obama, Sr., but his siblings have been a mystery. His brother, Mark Obama Ndesandjo, calls in to discuss his new book, "An Obama's Journey: My Odyssey of Self-Discovery Across Three Cultures," where he describes his childhood in Kenya, his pained relationship with his father and his interactions with the 44th president of the United States.
“In a summer marked by instability in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, I know the world also took notice of the small American city of Ferguson, Mo., where a young man was killed, and a community was divided,”President Obama addressing the UN 24 September 2014
"The United States will recruit a global coalition to degrade and ultimately destroy the militants, known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria ,eradicating a cancer like ISIS was a long-term challenge that would put some American troops at risk.We will hunt down terrorists who threaten our country, wherever they are, That means I will not hesitate to take action against ISIL in Syria, as well as Iraq,”using an alternative name for ISIS. This is a core principle of my presidency: If you threaten America, you will find no safe haven.” President Obama
A majority of voters believe Barack Obama’s presidency has been a failure, a new poll says.According to a Washington Post/ABC News poll released Tuesday, 52 percent of Americans say Obama’s presidency has been a failure, compared with 42 percent who believe it has been a success. Thirty-nine percent believe strongly that his presidency is a failure, just 3 points below his total success score.Politico

On September 10th, sites across the web will display an alert with a symbolic "loading" symbol (the proverbial “spinning wheel of death”) and promote a call to action for users to push comments to the FCC, Congress, and the White House. https://www.battleforthenet.com/sept10th/
Americans must decide whether they will be free or subjects. Shane Krauser, the host of Liberty Storm, takes on the cutting-edge issues of the day. Listen in and enjoy the following issues:
1. Trevor Loudon is a political researcher from New Zealand, and he joins us for some great conversation about the ties of many politicians to communism. He is a man who believes in freedom with responsibility, not freedom from responsibility. He is the author of two books, namely Barack Obama and the Enemies Within, and The Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists, and Progressives in the U.S. Congress. FInd out more at www.trevorloudon.com.
2. What is freedom anyways? So many claim to want freedom, yet we embrace government policies that are antithetical to our core desire?
3. Actress Gwyneth Paltrow hosted a fundraiser for Barack Obama and she was simply over the moon about the President. How we possibly be so inclined to give so much power to one man?

What does the term "politics as usual" mean to you?
Does President Obama's approval ratings really mean anything?
Will opposing political parties (ie: Elephants & Donkeys o,r if your prefer, Republicans & Democrats) ever learn to work together?
In the political game, when is a win not a win?
These and a few other guestions are laying heavy on the minds of many people, including me.
