Lets Talk Rick H Veal (Master Whitehall)

    in Pop Culture

Huffington Post Columnist Rachel Thompson and critic/author Bennet Pomerantz host Lets Talk

Their guest is Rick H Veal

Rick H. Veal was born sometime during the last half of the twentieth century in the upstate of South Carolina he has worked in the education field as a teacher and in various management positions in industry.

He decided that a setting with a rich history surrounding it would be ideal for a paranormal love story. Charleston and the surrounding Low Country of South Carolina, replete with an abundant history of ghosts and the unknown, combined with the lore of Vampire stories just seemed to be made for each other. So tying the two together he formed the initial idea and built on it from there.

The result of his efforts is The Epic Saga of The Master of Whitehall, a sweeping three volume narrative set in historic Charleston and the surrounding Low Country of South Carolina. A forth novel, the first of a two volume prequel to The Master of Whitehall, is in progress with one more planned for a total of five volumes in the series.

    .

It has been said that that if you want to write, you should "write the book you want to read, and then others will want to read it too". That is exactly what he hopes he has accomplished in his own writings.

All of his books, Katelyn's Chronicles, Lexi's Legacy, Dale's Descent, Jennifer's Ghost and Hannah's Heartache are available at Amazon.com in both print and e-book formats.

Should you wish to receive a personally inscribed and signed copy of any of his books please contact him directly for more information. He can be contacted via e-mail at author@prtcnet.com, his website, TheMasterOfWhitehall.com, or on Facebook at Rick H. Veal.

Melanie M. Jeschke, "Evasions- The Oxford Chronicles"

    in Books

    A love story spanning generations,

from Scotland’s wild Highlands to Oxford’s welcoming arms

From the Scottish links of St. Andrews to the bombing blitz of London, RAF pilot Eric MacKenzie experiences a dark journey of the soul as he battles the Nazis and personal loss and bitterness. Evading the air raids and her own distressing circumstances, Annie finds refuge and renewed faith at the Kilns, home of Oxford don C.S. Lewis. Eric and Annie reveal their turbulent love story decades later when their daughter Natalie and Lord Stuart Devereux seek wisdom for their own future.

Unforeseen tragedy, unplanned pregnancy, and undermined faith lead to hope, commitment, and restoration in this compelling prequel to Inklings, Intentions, and Expectations, that will captivate romance readers, history buffs, and Lewis and Tolkien devotees alike.

“Step back in time and enjoy an enriching tale of Oxford, C.S. Lewis, and the characters Melanie Jeschke brings to life. You will feel as if you know them personally.” - Ruth Graham

“Melanie Jeschke's meticulous period research is integrated seamlessly into a gripping and delightful yarn of love, faith, and loss set during the horror and terror of war. Playing a small but important part in the central story, C.S. Lewis and his immediate circle in Oxford come to vivid life.” -Colin Duriez Author of Tolkien and C. S. Lewis: The Gift of Friendship and J.R.R. Tolkien: The Making of a Legend

Saturday Morning Cereal-Jamie Kennedy Star Wars and the Haters that Love Them

    in Entertainment

Take some time this week to remember your original happy hour: Saturday mornings as a kid, waking up at dawn, jumping on the couch with a bowl of cereal, turning on the ‘toons, tuning out the outside world, and working your way into a sugar hangover before noon. Join us as we talk to both the unfairly maligned Jamie Kennedy and the Star Wars prequels' defender Bradley Weatherholt all about the haters who love them.  Why all the hate over movies that are just made to entertain us? Why do strangers tell each other to f*ck off and die underneath kitten videos on YouTube? Why does it seem sometimes like everyone else on the internet is a stupid racist pig who should just f*ck off and die?! To get to the bottom of this we bring in some experts, Jamie Kennedy (Heckler, Scream, Son of the Mask, Three Kings, Malibu's Most Wanted) himself, plus Bradley Weatherholt of Ministry of Cinema to tell us about his new IndieGoGo documentary project The Prequels Strike Back (a noble defense of the Star Wars prequel trilogy using the complexly simple Star Wars Ring Theory). That's right, it's Bradley and B-Rad all on the same show! We'll make you laugh, we'll make you cry, we'll make you want to post that we should f*ck off and die. Suspense writer Linda Prather joins Authors on the Air LIVE to discuss writing

    in Books

Authors on the Air Host Pam Stack welcomes suspense and paranormal writer Linda Prather.  Linda says this: "Something was missing in my life.  I wanted to write.  No, actually I needed to write.  In the mid 90s I joined a group called Green River Writers in Louisville, Kentucky.  The next five years contain many of my fondest memories of being a part of a group of authors.  Critiquing and being critiqued.  Learning to hone a craft that isn't simply putting words on a page.  I combined my love of mysteries with my love of metaphysics.  The payoff?  In 2005 I submitted my first novel, The Gifts, A Jacody Ives Mystery to Echelon Press, a small trade publisher.  After several months of nail biting and walking the floor I was offered a contract to publish.  Wow! I believed The Gifts to be a good book, but my readers amazed me even more when it took 2nd place in the Preditor's and Editor's contest for best novel of 2006 and was nominated for The David Award.  Reader requests resulted in my writing a prequel, Sacred Secrets, which has not been released by Amazon Digital. Research into the third Jacody Ives Mystery led to my studies in the paranormal research field, as well as my becoming a Paranormal Investigator.  I'm currently working on the 3rd and 4th Jacody Ives Mystery as well as a suspense novel and legal thriller."

This is a LIVE broadcast that you may comment on by calling 347-633-9609.

    A GUILTY PLEASURE BY SHOWCASE

    in Entertainment

    Artist Name: Show-Case

    Genre: Hip Hop/Rap

Born: December 19, 1989 in Queens, Ny. Currently Resides at Brentwood NY

When I first began making music at the age of 17,it was then that I submerged myself in the thought of making it everyday. Inspired by great legends of hip-hop and rap like Nas and Biggie,I began pursuing my passion consistently.Studying countless hours,my goal was to ultimately become one of the best. The more I studied, the more I knew I possessed a special talent with words; my hunger for more knowledge and creating an unforgettable stage presence became my driving force. At 18 ,I was given the opportunity to get my advanced regents diploma by going through a program to become an audio engineer. As time progressed I realized that engineering my own records would give me complete control over the way I want my records to sound.I graduated from the Institute Of Audio Research (IAR), located in Manhattan,NY with a 3.9 GPA and soon began landing numerous internships, one being at Stush Studios, which helped tremendously to expand my musical experience.Fast Forward to the present day...I've built my own studio, engineer my own records, and produce high quality material. I've created my own brand called "1st Thought Records",which is a movement that promotes the concept that a person should never doubt in what they believe is right.I live by the slogan,"First thought I'm Never Second Guessing". The time is now to convey the vision I see in the future. My first official mixtape,"The Prequel",coming soon,Indicates the calm before the storm. With all the time that I have spent trying to master my craft, I believe this is my moment to show the world what i'm capable of!
