    How Do We Stop This?

    in Politics Conservative

My Take On It - My daily take on a random topic.

The news stories of young Black men being killed by police will continue to come.  This story line is simply too enticing for the media to let go.  Sure these stories need to be told but what is the motive and what is the expected outcome of these stories?

It seems as if these stories are cherry picked and told for the sole purpose of creating a buzz.  In affect they simply pour salt in the wounds of Blacks and Whites alike.  These stories are told with the seeming end gole of just having a story to tell to cause discord and unrest.

There is an injustice going on here far beyond of any real or percieved injustice to the dead individual involved.  When we see these stories we all pick a side without any real knowledge of the facts.  We jump to judgement of innocence or guilt faster than the judgement of the Bush Gore Election of 2000.

We all have decided what side we are on and rush to defend Trayvon Martin because of the color of his skin.  We rush to defend the Baltimore PD because Freddie Gray was simply a known thug.

All of our decisions have been preprogrammed once we simply see a head line or from the opening remark of a "Breaking News" story.  Do we really ever see any real justice?  What kind of good should we all be expecting?

What about instead of my side "winning" the argument we started to actually realize "hope and change"?  I mean in a way that benefits us all.  What about if we as people of color actively engaged the police instead of avoiding them?  ...

For this episode I'll be talking to my lead composer and sound engineer Mike Beaty. We'll be discussing our overall process from a music and a production standpoint.

    Boxing vs MMA

    in Radio

I admit it I am biased I'm a boxing fan. I grew up watching the sport with my conspiracy crazed uncle Glenn. I watched Muhammad Ali at tail end of his great career. I also remember other great fighters such as Sugar Ray Leonard,"Marvelous" Marvin Hagler, Tommy "the Hitman" Hearns, Roberto Duran as well As Larry Holmes and later on Mike Tyson. I used to save my coins to purchase K.O  magazine. boxing always appealed to me.  It gave me great entertainment there is such a beauty to it especially when I see a boxer get knocked to the canvas and eyes rolled back.  MMA on the other hand has started gaining steam its history is not as detailed but, some think it's better than the sweet science. The fights take place in a mad Max thunder dome type of setting chain linked fence octagon.  I think it's a fad. I don't get why it gets so much love from crazy fans call in and explain this fad to me

    2015 Colorado State football preview

    in Sports

We continue our series of previewing the upcomign Mountain West season, and the latest team is the Colorado State Rams. The Rams are coming off of one of their best seasons in years by winning 10 games but that came with a cost of losing head coach Jim McElwain to Florida.

However, the Rams made a nice hire of bringing in former Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo to be the new Colorado State head coach.

The Rams did lose some key talent in quarterback Garrett Grayson and offensive lineman Ty Sambrilo to the NFL Draft and then running back Dee Hart he declared early but did not get drafted, so there will be new faces on Colorado State's offense.
