Debrief: The Population Health Colloquium 2015

    in Health

On a special edition of 'This Week in Health Innovation' at 1PM Pacific/4PM Eastern March 25th 2015, join @efuturist Douglas Goldstein and me Gregg Masters @2healthguru for an impromptu and raw wrap-up with key takeaways from the 15th Annual Population Health Colloquium organized by David Nash, MD, MBA the founding and current Dean of the the Jefferson School of Population Health on the campus of the Thomas Jefferson University.

This was an amazing conference in the 'City of Brotherly Love' aka Philadelphia.  We conducted no fewer than 15 interviews with keynote speakers to session moderators and toured the landscape from the implications of global risk contracting to incremental progress from the fee for service to fee for volume paradigm shift.

Join us for an informal recap of this no 'Johnnie come lately' to the Population Health conversation and discovery journey. In fact, some may say the event is perhaps the 'grand-daddy of them' all.

    Enjoy!

    Author Cheryl "Cherry Bomb" Winley

    in Writing

Native New Yorker, Cheryl “Cherry Bomb” Winley was born and raised in one of the most affluent counties in the eastern most part of Long Island. The progeny of scholarly and dignified parents, Cherry’s childhood not only mimicked richness and decadence it encompassed balance and an avid love of the English language. However, being gifted with a passion for English and poetry wasn’t her only reward; Cherry’s parents would reward her every action with monetary treats. By the age of 15, Cherry’s lifestyle would consist of limitless credit cards, fine dining, cars, and shopping and more shopping. The excessive gratification from her parents would in turn increase Cherry’s desires and by the age of 16 she would meet her first real boyfriend, a drug dealer, who would change the suburban girl into a lady and a hustler’s wife. Fast money, fast living, diamonds, designer brands and fancy cars; Cherry’s years as a young adult would be a ‘glamorous life’. Cherry decided to pen her strategy, thus, her authorial debut I Am Not a Hoe – a handbook that details Cherry’s best possession; her game, her time, and her attention and as Iceberg Slim would say “the game is to be sold not told”.

  • ZERO POPULATION: IS RACISM LEARNED OR INSTINCT? FEATURING TRUE GOD

    in Entertainment

"Zero" is a number that looks good when accompanied by other zero's and higher numbers and decorated with symbols representing money (ie dollars, yen, pounds etc). Zero is usually NOT a good sign when it is by itself. A zero on a test means you have FAILED. A zero in your bank account means you're BROKE. It is even more troubling when your population is "zero". It has been falsely stated that the world is overpopulated but that is not true for people that control most of the world's wealth. For these populations have hit "zero population growth" meaning that the deaths of these groups outnumber the births being reported. It was shortly after "Zero Population" growth was discovered in Europe that insurrections and riots began to skyrocket. Now, in America, that this same group of people which dominate the monetary system have also reached "Zero Population" Shortly after this was discovered America has been having record breaking rashes of police violence  and resistance among the people. What does "Zero Population" mean in a world that had been labeled to crowded to live?  Now that the cat is out the proverbial bag are these populations fighting back to reassert themselves on top of the social pyramid? Who are these groups which are now at "Zero Population"? If "Zero Population" is associated with race are people just fighting to keep thier "tribe" alive? Next 2RAW4TV we pose the question that the mainstream media is avoiding- ZERO POPULATION: IS RACISM LEARNED OR INSTINCT?
Internationally acclaimed artist, True God, makes his return back to 2RAW4TV for the first broadcast of 2015. You will not believe what he and his TEAMDAR comrades have in store for the world! Wwe Hall of Famer Bushwhacker Luke returns to Pipebomb Radio

    in Wrestling

Luke with his partner Butch having gone as far as they could progress in little old New Zealand in the early 70’s  decided they wanted to explore the world of Pro Wrestling, knowing that the USA was the pinnacle. At that time they were known as “Sweet William and the Brute" - The Kiwi’s. First stops were Australia, Singapore, Thailand and then Canada where they spent 3 years, the last one working for Stampede Wrestling owned by the notorious Stu Hart.

They returned home in 1974 to do live tapings for the first New Zealand televised wrestling show “On the Mat”. In 1979 while working in Hawaii, Roddy Piper and Buddy Rose called the northwest promoter Don Owen. Hence the invasion of U.S.A by the team now known as “The Sheepherders” After ruling the northwest for 15 months they moved on to the NWA headquarters in Charlotte N.C where they became the Mid Atlantic tag champs in a matter of weeks. In the 80’s the Sheepherders were the most hardcore and brutal tag team in North America and held numerous titles throughout the US and around the globe. In mid 1988 the boys got a call from WWF (WWE) and off they went to the biggest promotion on the planet. The Sheepherders were now known as the BUSHWHACKERS who were loved by everyone. These eccentric farm boys from “Down Under” mesmerized millions of fans from all walks of life, young, old, rich and poor from all corners of the globe.

Among the many TV shows the boys were featured on was Warner Brothers “Family Matters” featuring the character Steve Urkel. After the WWF era The Bushwhackers worked in England and Europe. Butch returned to New Zealand in 2001 and Luke went on to work in wrestling offices as talent coordinator.

    Population Control- New World Order!

    in Culture

Human population control is the practice of artificially altering the rate of growth of a human population.

Historically, human population control has been implemented by limiting the population's birth rate, usually by government mandate, and has been undertaken as a response to factors including high or increasing levels of poverty, and overpopulation. While population control can involve measures that improve people's lives by giving them greater control of their reproduction, some programs have exposed them to exploitation.[1]

Worldwide, the population control movement was active throughout the 1960s and 1970s, driving many reproductive health and family planning programs. In the 1980s, tension grew between population control advocates and women's health activists who advanced women's reproductive rights as part of a human rights-based approach.[2] Growing opposition to the narrow population control focus led to a significant change in population control policies in the early 1990s.

    World Population Problems

    in Spirituality

Roughly 4 million people are born on the street and die on the street in India every day.18 million people starve to death every year in world.

There is a net gain of 9000 new borns per hour over the number of deaths.

Bangladesh, a country the size of Iowa, has a population of 167 million which is more people than live in Russia. The Islamic leaders in that country do not allow birth control.

10 million children die every year from starvation or starvation related diseases.

The world population grows by 77 million people annually.

The United States is the third fastest growing country in the world because of immigration.

America will add 100 million people by 2035 because of immigration.

Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and California don't possess enough water for their residents. The largest user of water is agriculture which uses 70% of the water.

The depletion of the Ogallala Aquifer. The Ogallala Aquifer is a shallow water table aquifer located beneath the Great Plains in the United States. One of the world's largest aquifers, it underlies an area of approximately 174,000 mi² (450,000 km²) in portions of eight states: (South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas). Depletion is accelerating, with 2% lost between 2001 and 2009 alone. Certain aquifer zones are now empty; these areas will take over 6,000 years to replenish naturally through rainfall. The Ogallala used to have an average depth of 240 feet; however, today its average depth is just 80 feet. There is Texas town called Happy which has lost all of its water because of the depletion Ogallala Aquifer so their farmers can no longer farm the land there. The U.S. Department of Agriculture says that in 60 years the plains will be uneconomical to farm. We have built cities towns and farms around something that is unsustainable. About 71 percent of our water is used to irrigate our food
