Culture Freedom Radio Network Station Update & Status
Not so very long ago, students enrolled in university were taught rhetoric. That was of a time when the skill of persuasion was highly valued. It taught the difference between argument and debate. To do this, the student learned how to control their emotion. When an opponent approached the topic with temper, his effectiveness was lost- lose of such control was a vulnerability- the poker player with an obvious 'tell'. Why bring this up Graham? Why now? Good questions that deserve good answers. Today, we are on the cusp of a masonic cultural event. We don't need to doubt whether change is coming. It's already begun. We never have developed a narrative. How do we know? What is masonry? Ask ten masons that question and we get eleven opinions. Why? Because we work without a narrative that describes and operationalizes our philosophy. One of the rules of engagement for our fellows is to avoid controversy. If you have witnessed what happens when such matters are discussed, you know what I mean. Emotion uncontrolled burdens the topic and attempts to stifle discussion of the merit of all sides of the issues. Our narrative may be in fragments simply because we have not promoted the artfulness of rhetoric. Do you think it is stunning that we have a culture hundreds of years old, rich in lessons of ethics, principles, values, purpose, science and the arts and have yet to learn how to debate? Without a form to deal with controversial findings and opinions, we make difficult the capacity to acknowledge the evolution of masonic-culture. Yesterday I sat with a very earnest young mason- young only in years but not judgment. He responded to something said at the table with the muscularity that is typical of a group of men. BUT- after he had let us know he held serious opinions, he was gratefully receptive to debate- restore rhetoric I say!
The legendary Africa Bambaataa is notable for releasing a series of genre-defining electro tracks in the 1980s that influenced the development of hip hop culture. Afrika Bambaataa is one of the originators of breakbeat DJing and is respectfully known as "The Godfather" and "Amen Ra of Hip Hop Kulture", as well as the father of electro funk. Through his co-opting of the street gang the Black Spades into the music and culture-oriented Universal Zulu Nation, he has helped spread hip hop culture throughout the world. Join your host jeremy, Jesse and schelett as they give credit where credit is due and pay homage to the revolutionary figure in hip hop, Africa Bambaataa.

Popular kids, athletes, and members - we all know them. Even though popular people may not be identified as 'celebrities', they are, and they have fans who subconsciously follow them. These people have fast credibility and strong influence. Big companies look out for these people and soon you see them being given freebies so they wear a certain thing, drink a certain thing, or get invited to certain places because these companies are anticipating that their 'fans' will follow, and we do.
I love my solitude, I tended to shy away from crowds, and most of all - I perferred to be 'behind the scenes'. However, this is the recipe for obscurity and obscurity will not help me accomplish my goals, nor get this urgent message of Profitable Stewardship out to those who need to hear it.
Getting out of obscurity is the best way to ensure FAST SUCCESS! It is the 10X formula for getting your desired outcome much, much faster.
This is why Donald Trump - like him or hate him, has so much free publicity, His Presidential campaign has cost significantly less than all the other candidates because almost everything he does is considered 'newsworthy' and those who love him, but even more so - those who hate him, are all talking about him.
Get out of obscurity. People do business with people. Companies are built on the reputations of their leaders, and eventually, you will lend some of your credibility and popularity to the thing or message you want shared, but it all starts with you.
Join me as I share some of the strategies I am using to get out of obscurity and increase my online and offline reputation so more people hear the message that Profitable Stewardship creates debt-free wealth.
What are the culture wars and how can we win them? Join us as noted art scholar and critic James Cooper talks about art and culture today.
James Cooper is an art scholar and noted critic. He is the Founding Director of the Newington-Cropsey Cultural Studies Center. He is the Editor of American Arts Quarterly. He is the author of several books, including The Hudson River School and the Moral Landscape. Mr. Cooper served on the President’s Committee for National Standards for Arts Education K-12. He has been a vocal critic of government funding to the arts. He was the first to challenge the obscenity, lack of quality of grants awarded by the National Endowment for the Arts. Subsequently he was appointed to serve as a juror on several juries for the National Endowment for the Arts, and met with many congressmen. Cooper believes that EXCELLENCE and BEAUTY are the criteria for public art and education, not political correctness or propaganda. He thinks that the American people have not been alerted to the CULTURE WAR that is deconstructing the core values of America. His goal is cultural renewal.
Now days everybody wanna be popular thru social media. Posting random pictures, random quotes and negative news articles. It seems like the more controversial the topic is the more attention it gets. Have people developed a hunger for negativity? Are people too into themselves to realize that they're vain? I have so many questions regarding popularity online.

Every business has a culture. Small business owners often ignore the importance of their culture and how it can make them profits. It's easy to think that something like a culture is for big business only, but defining your culture will guide you to become laser focused on who your best Customer is. A clear culture makes if easier for employees to understand what is expected of them, as well.
