Poverty Sunday: Poor people ain' got nobody?

    in Christianity

Poor people ain't got nobody. OK, let me rephrase that statement. It reminds me of a song I like. Short people, aint got no body. But know for sure all people have God, and we have one another. For we are according to scripture, our brother's keeper. But, knowing 9 of 10 Americans confess Christianity as their religion of choice, why is it that 1 of 6 Americans are living in poverty?

    Neo-liberalism: Nuance, Negligence, and Numbers

    in Radio

The concept of neo-liberalism continues to astound and confound. Just what is neo-liberalism? How does it manifests itself? What is the implication for humanity? In order these questions be assuaged first we have to define neo-liberalism. Neo-liberalism is the belief, by the capitalist class, all problems, be they economic, political, and social- can be resolved by allowing the market place to sort them out. Just who is this market? Is it some autonomous computer generated program void of human emotion and/ or concerns. Or is it social convention masquerading as fact, compelling those without power to accept its mandate(s)? The economic elite would have us to believe the "market" is the evolution of ideals, norms, and customs which have served humanity successfully for ions. Contrary to the ebb and flow of human history, such a claim could only obtain validity if we presuppose only one side of the tale is preferable. Mature adults are more likely to reason absolutes exist only in fables, that given the complexities of life change must intrinsically be part of the equation if humanity is to prosper and grow. Lack of opportunity for human growth, at its sharpest, underscores why neo-liberalism could never be the panacea propagated by the capitalist. Implicit in his core is the seeds of rancor ultimately leading to the demise of society itself. Does neo-liberalism bode well for the multitudes clamoring to be free, employed and sated- not likely. What do you think? Can neo-liberalism save the day

People's Free Medical Research Health Clinics

We believe that the government must provide, free of charge,
for the people, health facilities that will not only treat our illnesses, most of which are a result of our oppression, but that will also develop preventative medical programs to guarantee our future survival. We believe that mass health education and research programs must be developed to give all Black and oppressed people access to advanced sCienti c and medical information, so we may provide ourselves with proper medical attention and care.

Point Six of the Black Panther Party Program's Platform of March 29, 1972, explains the reasons for the institution ofthe People's Free Medical Research Health Clinics, which provide free medical treatment and preventative medi cal care for the community. Private hospitals and doctors charge fees far more expensive than poor people can a ord, while public hospitals and clinics are so overcrowded and understa ed that their services are almost totally inade quate. The People's Free Medical Research Health Clinics o er an alternative to this problem.

The clinics provide comprehensive health care for the community. Doctors treat  patients for common physical ailments and refer them to spe cialists if necessary. Laboratory testing is also provided in conjunction with local hospitals.

Along with the Sickle-Cell Anemia Research Foundation, the clinics con duct testing and research for a cure for sickle-cell anemia.

Child health is a serious problem in the Black community, and the clinics have developed a ChildHealth Care Program to meet this community need. The Child Health Care Program provides immunizations; screening and sickle cell anemia iron de ciency anemia, and tuberculosis; referrals; and complete physi cal examinations as well as treatment of illnesses." Nothing is impossible for people who love God!

    in Christianity

Nothing is impossible for people who love God!

The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8 NKJV

But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22 NKJV

The bible is the greatest love story ever told. It is the story of God creating all things in heaven above and on the earth below. God created man in His image and likeness.

THE PEOPLE ASKED AARON TO MAKE THEM AN IDOL

    in Christianity

BIBLEBOOKCLUB: OT: EXODUS 32:1-33:23, NT: MATTHEW 26:69-27:14, PSALM 33:1-11, PROVERBS 8:33-36

In Exodus 32, While Moses was up in the mountain spending time with God, the people asked Moses' brother Aaron, the High Priest to make an idol for them to worship. Aaron made an idol in the form of a calf and the people exclaimed "O Israel, this is the god that brought you out of Egypt! Then Aaron said to the people, let us have a feast to Jehovah! The next morning they made sacrifices to the idol and then they had a feast followed by sexual immorality. FRIENDS, DOESN'T THIS SOUND LIKE THE WORLD TODAY? SEXUAL SINS AND IMMORALITY HAVE INCREASED, AND SIN IS CONSIDERED NORMAL BEHAVIOR! SIN IS PERMEATING THE MAIN STREAM AND NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE! IDOLATRY IS ALWAYS ACCOMPANIED BY SEXUAL SIN! AND NOW WE SACRIFICE OUR OWN CHILDREN LIKE THEY DID IN MOSES' DAY! ABORTION IN AMERICA IS CONSIDERED A NORMAL BEHAVIOR! HOWEVER, GOD IS NOT MOCKED! WHATSOEVER WE SOW, THAT SHALL WE REAP! John 15:19 (TLB) Jesus said: The world would love you if you belonged to it; but you don’t; for I chose you to come out of the world!

    in Politics Progressive

And what is the projected population based on demand and interest in building a nation state? This will help the leaders plan and provide a basis for sustainability for citizens in our new nation.  No nation plans to fail and we are no exception.  In this episode we will go over the basics of forecasting, explain the location quotient theory as it relates to the basic and non basic sectors of an economy and we wll discuss case studies in funding modern infrastructure.
