Tips For Black Women Part 2

    in Blogcritics

Eric Johnson will discuss matters that impact the African American community. Topics will be black economic power, black relationships and black health.

Dicusses con man and CEO Martin Shkreli and his recent bad blood with WU Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah.

In a bizarre new video, Shkreli has decided to pick a fight with the rapper. “You’re an old man that’s lost his relevance, and you’re trying to reclaim the spotlight from my spotlight,” says the embattled pharmaceutical executive, who is keeping his name in the news by recording a callout video on an askew webcam surrounded by three men in Halloween masks. Shkreli then threatens to wipe Ghostface’s contributions off the album or destroy the only copy entirely.

Also I will discuss how black women can improve their economic and relationship status.

Flicker Ticker Movie Reviews: Finding Nemo

    in Movies

I may be childish but even at the age of 22 years old, I still LOVE Finding Nemo! I find myself watching it over and over again! It may be because I am saltwater fish keeper or just because I love fish! But, I know you and your kids have watched this movie because it is a very popular movie and it is still popular a full decade later. In fact, Finding Dory is coming out this year!

Finding Nemo is about a clownfish ( Nemo) who gets abducted by a diver and put into a fish tank and Nemo's dad (Marlin) and a Blue Hippo tang (Dory) go hunting for him and eventually they find him. This is a movie full of twists and turns it's awesome!

Hear Alex's review on this awesome film!

Bowie Exits; El Chapo in The Interview 2 & More-Afronerd, Fri@7:30pm EST

    in Politics Conservative

Howdy!  Don't forget to set your clocks for yet another funky information based episode of The Week in Review podcast, thanks to the Afronerd Radio Machine!

    Join Dburt and Capt. Kirk this Friday at 7:30pm EST as they shine a metaphysical flashlight on the following (mid) week issues: iconic rocker/musician/actor, David Bowie passes this mortal plane at the age of 69 from cancer; our impressions of the controversy hovering around actor, Sean Penn, who was able to garner an interview from alleged drug lord and fugitive, Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman; Wu tang frontman, RZA not only has adopted the vegan lifestyle but has a message for young Black men (hint: a conservative appearance might not be a bad thing); Dburt marvels at a prototype personal passenger drone called Ehang 184-George Jetson would be proud;

Is Hillary starting to feel the Bern?  Is Trump losing Cruz control? Hmmm; getting back to something we missed during the last episode.....just what was Maine Governor LaPage talking about? D-Money, Shifty and pregnant White girls?; The Afronerd crew are scheduled to make an appearance at this weekend's upcoming Black Comic Festival, courtesy of Harlem, NY's Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture; The Root asserts that the upcoming Keanu Reeves' film, Exposed (co-starring hip hop legend, Big Daddy Kane) displays another case of White-washing an originally minority themed project. And lastly, another Root piece unpacks the notion that it is not a given that Black Millenials will give their vote to the Democrats this electoral season like generations past.  Call in live at 646-915-9620.

DUNGEON MASTA EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW THURS 1-14-16 6PM ON INTERVIEWS WITH THE STARS

    in Radio

It won’t happen. What won’t happen? Just know it will never happen. Never again will the Hip-Hop community be treated to a lyrical story telling genius that’s interested more in entertaining, extremely creative, and super informative facts instead of aimlessly promoting negative and often false images that continue to be the killer of the most beloved genre of music for Generation Next, Hip-Hop. Sadly, it just will never happen again. Dungeon Masta is here, and to the displeasure of mediocre MCs worldwide, true lyrical skills are back to being a must, not an option. Born in New York City’s largest and deadliest borough, Brooklyn, served as the rearing site for a future MC who would later adopt the performance moniker of Dungeon Masta. Poised to bring the real back to rap music and I mean the realest, hardest, most in your face and thought-provoking lyrics to bless Hip-Hop since the legendary Wu-Tang Clan is the labor of love inherited by Dungeon Masta. A proud disciple of original Wu-Tang Clan General, the late great Ol’ Dirty Bastard is who majorly helped mold Dungeon Masta into the one of a kind rhyming wordsmith he is today.

As one of the family members of ODB’s famed Brooklyn Zu, regiment Dungeon Masta has exchanged lyrical blows with many of the biggest names in Hip-Hop to include but not limited to O.D.B., Public Enemy, Rakim, Special Ed, Professor X (X Clan), Peedi Crack, Popa Wu, Buddha Monk and Kid Capri. Following in the long tradition of immensely popular as well as highly successful Brooklyn rappers such as Big Daddy Kane, The Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, and Fabolous comes the “Big Apple’s” best hope of reclaiming Hip-Hop’s #1 spot since 50 Cent. A veteran on the tour circuit and media sensation complements of countless videos on the internet has made the originator of “Gothic”, a new edgy style of music that’s taking New York City by storm.

Is Police Brutality influenced by dress code? @NcPudgy w Sp Guest 619-638-8559

    in Culture

Tonight we invite guest on the Kirp Radio Show to talk with host Pudgy Miller @NcPudgy to discuss the thoughts of Hiphop Producer, actor, and movie Scorer and Wu-Tang Clan Founder "RZA". The thoughts he shared with Bloomberg news is surrounding police brutality and ended up being about dress code. It seems there are a lot of Americans who have a conflict with what he said and a conflict with this interview. Join us with your thoughts as we ask you the same questions that we will be discussing... Does America have an issue with the way OTHER Americans dress? Does the clothes you wear project how you act? Join us 619-638-8559 on Kirpradioshow.com.

Wu-Tang Clan's RZA Says - “All lives matter,” RZA repeated. He continued:

I love what the police do for our society, I love the idea of it, to serve and protect. Those who are upholding that idea, then they are beneficial to society. But those who lose that focus, whether they lose it through fear, through stress, or through not being properly trained—and they are allowed to go out on the streets—how can you enforce law if you don’t understand law? I tell my sons, I say, if you’re going somewhere, you don’t have to wear a hoodie–we live in New York, so a hoodie and all that is all good. But sometimes, you know, button up your shirt. Clean up. Look like a young man. You’re not a little kid, you know what I mean? I think that’s another big issue we gotta pay attention to. Is the image that we portray that could invoke a fear into a white officer, or any officer.

It’s a matter of image, he said—and in the other direction, too. “Now that there’s been so much police brutality, a lot of the young people are scared of the cops.”
