Pros and Cons of FMCSA Proposed Rule - Drivers with insulin dependent Diabetes

    in Current Events

Saturday June 27th 6:30 PM ET
    347-826-9170

The FMCSA has posted a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Qualifications of Drivers; Diabetes Standard, proposing to do away with the Diabetes Exemption Program. Although there are many drivers who feel this is a long overdue rule, others are concerned that the rule (the way it is written) would compromise the safety of the driver and the highways.

Dr Randolph Rosarion, certified medical examiner in the US DOT FMCSA National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) and Elaine Papp, board certified occupational health nurse and founder of Health and Safety Works, LLC, will be our special guests as they discuss the complex and unseen details of insulin dependent Diabetes mellitus and how it relates to the NPR and the professional driver.

Qualifications of Drivers; Diabetes Standard Summary -
FMCSA proposes to permit drivers with stable, well-controlled insulin-treated diabetes mellitus (ITDM) to be qualified to operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in interstate commerce. Currently, drivers with ITDM are prohibited from driving CMVs in interstate commerce unless they obtain an exemption from FMCSA.

Foster Care ~ A Trapped Door Endangering Children

    in Family

For tens of thousands of endangered children, foster care has become a trap door rather than the safety net they need to help them succeed. In particular, federal financing policies have favored foster care over other child welfare approaches, leading states to overuse foster care to the detriment of children who could be adopted or whose families could be rehabilitated. Congress should give states more flexibility in how they can use federal funding and stop providing foster care funding on a per capita basis, which promotes this dependence. States should refocus on achieving the best outcomes for children. Among other approaches, state agencies should work with private-sector agencies and faith-based networks to find adoptive parents and guardians for children languishing in foster care. Hello audience, I'm Rita Badaloni and I'm your Featured Host here at The Serenity Show: Prevention and Intervention and tonites show will be joined by very special guests Jessie Thomas and a young lady named Brandy. Both have had dealings with the system and are part of recovery. I chose this topic due to how many children get lost and trapped into it for many years of their young lives due to problemed households. The older they get, the less likely they are to get adopted or reunified, then bounced from one fostercare to another. Many are subjected to alcohol/drugs/sex/physical abuse many times over before ever reported or help arrives. This broken system needs to change for the betterment of all involved. Join us Friday nite June 26th at 9pm CT at www.blogtalkradio.com/ritahodges or call in live at 646-929-0421 for this vital topic. Also welcome my new Sponsor The Addictions Academy. Nathan Leal on Jade Helm 15 in the context of Biblical Prophecy

    in News

No analysis of Jade Helm 15 and its components would be complete without putting it in proper context with biblical prophecy.

Since the military exercise known as Jade Helm 15 was first disclosed, Christian watchman and Bible expositor Nathan Leal has been conducting extensive research into the operation, its masters, origins and intent against the backdrop of Bible prophecy. Nathan Leal has spent months locating, reading and analyzing numerous military, law enforcement, and other related documents. He was the first to publicly dissect not just the operation itself, but the ramifications of this exercise to all American citizens, with particular emphasis on patriots, constitutionalists, and specifically Christians.

It would be difficult if not impossible to attempt to understand what is taking place regarding the “exercise” without the overlay of a Christian worldview. Secular analysis of these events could be and have been done, but such analyses leave a gaping void of contextual understanding. Mr. Leal fills in the void that provides Christians a greater understanding of not just the military operation, but the necessary and more contextually accurate “big picture” of events.

This episode will complete our "pre-operational" dot-connecting exercise, connecting seemingly disparate events that will create a picture that was sketched over two thousand years ago – and remains very much alive within the Holy Bible in prophecy.

Mary Diaz and Human Conflicts Org. Demand More Paroles June 26, 2015

    in Politics Progressive

Mary Diaz on the "Huaman Rights Demand" radio broadcast. Mary is a prisoner activist who advocates for paroles and pardons. Tell us your opinion by calling (347)857-3293, or you can listen by computer live or hear the archived tape 24/7. Diaz is affiliated with "Human Conflicts," and "LET MY PEOPLE GO" is the motto. Mary lives in Florida, which had over 5,200 inmates who were parole eligible in 2014 but only released 18. Prison investors on Pardons and Parole Boards are a barrier to freedom for many rehabilitated inmates, I think.

Diaz said Alabama's Pardon and Parole Board has become a trendsetter for the rest of the country regarding releases. In Alabama during 2014, the Board considered 6,647 paroles, of which 2,237 were granted. The Board granted 657 pardons of 798 pardons heard and processed 522 voter rights restorations. That is real progress against mass incarceration. Some of the change may be credited to the ?Southern Poverty Law Center's lawsuit against the Alabama prison system.

"Presently, Maynard Cooper & Gale is fighting a Southern Poverty Law Center lawsuit that claims the health care provided to Alabama's inmates is inadequate and unconstitutional. Correctional health care firm Corizon is paying the firm to fight the lawsuit on behalf of the state due to a provision in its $224 million contract with the state. In total, the state has spent $1.86 million in taxpayer money to fight prison lawsuits in the past four years." reports AL(dot) com. That sum likely also includes a lawsuit by the ‎ACLU? for segregating inmates with HIV. Righteous lawsuits litigated in just courts matter.

January is our month for new beginnings. We'll discuss pardons, paroles, and successful re-entry this month at Human Rights Demand and at National Network in Action (NNIA1). Please participate!
