4th and Inches Show - 2014 NFL Week 15 Fantasy Football Preview

    in Sports

Last week many fantasy football team owners whose teams had performed well during the regular season were knocked out in the first round of their league's playoffs due to the subpar (at least from a fantasy perspective) performance of the players who carried their team during the regular season (Exhibit A:  Peyton Manning).  This just highlights the importance of analyzing each week's matchups and taking nothing for granted, especially at this point in the season.

Tune in to tonight's 4th & Inches show as we help you sort things out and make our start/sit recommendations for the 16 Week 15 games.  Let Jana and the Sherpa guide you to victory!

Now in its fifth season, tune in to the 4th and Inches Show with Jana & The Sherpa Wednesday evenings from 9:30 to 10:30pm Eastern!

    in Writing

Join hosts Tom Riddell and Robin Eduardo as they welcome author Jim Allen to The Writers Lounge. Sit back and relax as Jim discusses what it's like to be a writer and he will also talk to us about his book: NOTHING IS AS IT APPEARS. IT IS ALL SMOKEN MIRRORS (Part #2: UFO's)

Jim Allen, in this book, takes you on a wild ride through some of the greatest tragedies in American History. With the evidence and logic provided, the reader can come to their own conclusions as to which events exhibit cover-up and conspiracy.
This book demonstrates that information the general public receives through media sources is often biased and manipulated in content from higher sources.

It’s a fast, easy read and will probably have a profound psychological effect on the reader. It will leave you with an imprint that “nothing is as it appears, it’s all – Smoken Mirrors!

*On this show we will discuss UFO's in depth (90 minute show)

RCM Live: December 7, 2014 - Faith Concepts

    in Religion

This week on RCM Live, we go to Hebrews 11:1, where faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things unseen.

In order to exhibit our faith, we have to speak the correct words, both to ourselves and to others. Life and death is in the power of the tongue. God can give you the words to speak, but you have to be the one to speak them. Pastor John Bazemore, Jr. shares all of the details about how to stretch our faith from Point A to Point B in this message from Restoration Christian Ministries on RCM Live.

    Fresh, The Event!

    in Current Events

Our guests this morning are gallerist Peggy Zask and curator Mat Gleason and they are going to give us the lowdown on Fresh, The Event! taking place at South Bay Contemporary on December 6 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Peggy Zask taught Art Education at Mira Costa High School for 20 years. She went on to direct a nonprofit art museum during the 1990s and ran Zask Gallery, a for-profit art gallery in the South Bay for the last seven years.  Peggy has close relationships with many artists, art patrons, museum directors, curators and educators in the South Bay, and she has shown work by artists from around the world.

Mat Gleason was invited to curate the Fresh exhibition because he insists art be authentic and expressive - in other words, fresh! He is a noted art writer, critic and gallerist. Starting in 1992, he published the Coagula Art Journal and currently operates Coagula Curatorial in Chinatown.  He has juried and curated many art exhibitions and knows how to evaluate the work.

Fresh, 2014 is a contemporary art show of new work by dozens of artists. Most of the artists are from Los Angeles and the South Bay, but some come from as far east as New York and as far south as Mississippi. The show’s curator selected ninety-seven artists for the show. The only restriction on entries was that the art be created in 2014. After jurying the show, Mat Gleason said:  "The goal was to make a WILD show, not a safe, straight art exhibit. The opening will be epic."

Late at night Tori receives a random phone call. It’s a wrong number. But the caller seems to want to talk, so she stays on the line. He asks for a single thing—one reason not to kill himself.

The request plunges her into confusion. Because if this random caller actually does what he plans, he’ll be the second person connected to Tori to take his own life. And the first just might land her in jail. After her Facebook page became Exhibit A in a tragic national news story about cyberbullying, Tori can’t help but suspect the caller is a fraud. But what if he’s not? Her words alone may hold the power of life or death.

With the clock ticking, Tori has little time to save a stranger—and maybe redeem herself—leading to a startling conclusion that changes everything…
