Is Pollution the Real Cause, of What is Killing Us!

    in Entertainment

I am going to read a short article, yes it is short, about pollution.   Then I will expand on what I think of pollution. Hold on, because this is one of those extremely concerning issues to me.

Air is important to everyone, and water and dirt!  Yes dirt. clean healthy dirt, for your fruits and vegetables that you may be trying to grow.

Air, how about a nice long jog while you gobble down some car exhaust.  mmmmmmmm yeah feel that migraine coming on!

Guest: Marco Franzini, Seismic Scientist, Earthquake and Pollution

    in Education

A researcher originally from CESI (Center for environment and energy distribution in North of Italy) and now collaborator with researchers in ISR (India, Gujarat) Mr. Marco Franzini, has contributed a forecast report to SWACIN Inc. saying that the earthquake on the 25th May 2015, a shallow 5.6 magnitude (5.3M revised) struck the Northern portion of Tokyo Japan, which made international news, was prelude to something worse, but only a deep analysis can really say if that's correct.  “On 25th May 2015 we had a 5.3 Magnitude in Tokyo, and many people are concerned about a bigger seismic event in the capital of Japan. In order to preview it, someone use statistical model, others look into the plate dynamics. But can we really preview earthquakes ? He says, "From 2012, our scientists team has successfully tested a new system based on solar systems interaction, to preview many months or years in advance." More information can be found at the following site: https://independent.academia.edu/MarcoFranzini”  He says his forecast is 80% rate accuracy. “We need your support, to save you, and many other innocent people around the world.”

David Katz: Solving Our Plastic Pollution Problem & Poverty

    in Environment

The future may indeed be in plastics.  David Katz is the founder and CEO of The Plastic Bank, an ambitious social enterprise that aims to solve the plastic pollution problem and poverty at the same time.

The Plastic Bank provides an opportunity for the world’s poor to collect and trade plastic waste as a currency. That's right.  Plastic waste found at beaches and other waterways is turned into a source of income for our world's most marginalized citizens.  What's more, plastic collectors can get access to 3D printers creating entrepreneurial opportunities.

Today David Katz, who is the President of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (E.O.) Vancouver Chapter and recent winner of the organization's Global Citizen Award, will share his inspiration for reducing global poverty and stopping plastic from entering our oceans.

Environmental Awareness: Plastic Pollution in Australia with Elizabeth Beaumont

Elizabeth has worked as a Liver Intensive Care Nurse and has returned to her studies, this time in the area of Sustainability at University of Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia. During a merging of two assignments that concerned water extraction for the bottled water industry and the ingestment of plastics by sea mammals and birds she decided to approach the senior management of the university and make formal presentations to phase out and subsequently ban the sale of water housed in Polyethylene terephthalate at the University. She was successful making her uni the 1st in Queensland and only the 2nd in Australia to ban the sale of water in P.E .T. This will result in a massive reduction of carbon emissions. The university has installed 3 ProAcqua machines the greatest innovation of water vends that ever have been invented. In 2014 she travelled to Cambodia with the University and was asked by the Minister of Tourism to advise on plastic pollution there.  Her work to communicate the dangers of this issue has been enhanced by her steady efforts to connect with other interested people including, experts in the broad field of plastic pollution.  She actively picks up plastic pollution and volunteers for the Two Hand Project and applauds anyone who picks up plastics. She has for 30 years actively practiced Nichiren Buddhism. Together with her family, Elizabeth enjoys life on a Land for Wildlife property where marsupials, birds and aquatic life live freely in the Hinterland of South East Queensland.

    in Psychology

To cancel this morning show because I missed a few interesting key points and for a better title, in hopes of a listener's better understanding of Down Syndrome. During the show, jory will go on an internet excursion to see if anything backs up his theory on whether or not the genetic disorder has been brought on by common air pollution, over the past 25 years. So, has the increase of the common activity of driving cars over the past 25 years a contributing factor? Listen and then you decide.
