There is one thing you can count on when jumping in The Pickle Barrel, no topic is off base!
Polls: Are they accurate, useful or just a lot of bull?
The herd of oinkers chasing Senator Lindsey Graham: are they bacon ready for the frying pan? Will Graham walk away a clear cut winner on June 10 (Primary Election Day)?
Wrapping up the morning Michael Brinkman, National Policy Director for conservative think-tank Thomas B. Fordham Institute, will be joining us with some explanations that Common Core is actually fundamentally conservative and that right-of-center critics need to take a closer look at the standards.
See, no controversy or taboo issues too big to fit In the Pickle Barrel.
See you at 7AM-8:30 AM, Thursday morning.
This week our top story is a number of polls that show the tide turning in favor of Democrats not only in the 2014 election but more fundamentally on issues and within certain red states. Then, we have continuing coverage of the Russia Ukraine crisis and other top news of the week.
At the end we will have our trademark weekly hall of fame and shame for those politicians and prominent individuals who made great sense or shameful nonsense, respectively.

The New York Times and CBS News published Battleground Tracker using, in part, information from a non probability, opt in survey sparking concern among many in the polling community. In general, these methods have little grounding in theory and the results can vary widely based on the particular method used. While little information about the methodology accompanied the story, a high level overview of the methodology was posted subsequently on the polling vendor’s website. The real truth is the 2014 Elections for the House and the Senate are up for grabs. Congressional approval ratings for the last 30 days are still at all time low levels. Just because the Koch Bros and affiliates have spent over 30 million on ads before the primary doesn't mean the Democrats can not break through. While the republicans are fighting each other, the Democrats are not unified on what are the best campaign issues and slogans to use. And the beat goes on. The President is campaigning this year and.......
We will have a look at some of the highlights from Thrusday's Vice Presidential debate.
I also want to take a look at the polls and a poll that comes out of the University of Colorado that put out an economic poll that predicts that has always predicted the correct outcome since they started in the 1980 election.
And what ever else come up in the next few hours before the show will be added into the contents of the show.

Wendy Davis was written off much too early
For too long local Democrats have been whispering concerns about Wendy Davis’ real chances of winning the Texas governorship. Republicans and national leaders of both parties all but discounted her.
After-all, Greg Abbot was over 50% in most polls. Funny thing has happened. Greg Abbott has fallen under 50%. Most importantly, all the groundwork that Wendy Davis, Battleground Texas, and other local groups have been doing is probably not yet reflected in the polls because nobody is following these new voters.
Things are changing.
