"To serve and protect"
Really? All I seem to hear about these days are the stories of Death at the hands of those we count on to protect and serve us. Just the other day, a young man who was enrolled in College and prepared to start his first classes on 08/11/2014, was shot and killed by a Police Officer in St. Louis, Mo.; alegedly for just walking in the street. THIS MUST STOP!
On this week's show, real people will be sharing real and personal stories of Police Abuse, Brutality, Shootings and Murder. We will be counting how many Police Shootings and Murders that are actually occuring, on a yearly, monthly, weekly and daily basis. We will look at the circumstances surrounding each and also the whos, whens, wheres and the whys... And we are hoping to have actual Police Officers sharing their own personal perspectives, as well.
In the end, we will be discussing what to do about it. Many have decided to riot. Is this the solution? If not, then what can we, as individuals, do to help stop the senseless killings.

Human rights organizations across the country are protesting the ongoing abuses of power by an increasingly militarized police force, demanding that officers who kill unarmed citizens be charged with homicide. Marches and rallies seem to have little effect, as more citizens come forth whose loved ones have been gunned down by overzealous police. What consequences should police suffer when they kill unarmed citizens? How can these human rights abuses be stopped? What body of authority needs to oversee judges, who continue to issue harsh sentences to individuals who have been tortured into false confessions or ill advised to plead guilty by attorneys with questionable ethics? As the Human Rights and Justice Committee of Missouri creates a National Registry to expose homicidal police officers and unjust judges, more citizens are challenging the police departments who killed their loved ones and received not so much as a reprimand. Many innocent citizens have been railroaded into jail by judges who knowingly sentenced innocent people to prison time. How do we remove people from power who are abusive and corrupt? What consequences should those who violated the public trust ultimately suffer? Our guests Yahkhanahn Ammi and Queen Tahira Sparks discuss strategy for punishing abuses of power and stopping those who violate the human rights of others.
In America there has always been this concrete distinction between the military and the police. When did the job of the police officer become the job of the solider? The job of a solider is to seek out eliminate and annihilate enemies of democracy and threats to the U.S. The police mantra is "To Protect and Serve" but with the brutal attacks and misconduct that has plague ours news like the recent incidents in Ferguson. Just who are the police protecting? We have seen time and time again the folly of government when military tactics are used to deal with domestic and civil affairs. When the government dehumanize civil disputes and issues and cloak them under the guise of "The War Against _______" a mindset is created that initiates a police state. Has the dehumanization of people and increase federal incentives created a over militarization of the police ?
This is "The Afrikan Village Community Podcast"
With yours truly the conscious soldier Jaycee a.k.a. AfroBlack who will use his mic to stick' you wit some liberated Truth.......This Sunday's topic:
Crooked Cops, Black Ops and Police Brutality "Up Date"
We as a Afrikan/black people have endured centuries of brutalization and death at the hands of white people and the the so called local authorities. But why still to this day in the year 2014 we are oppressed and legally brutalized and in most cases murdered and assassinated by those who are responsible to serve and protect the community. Yet our most prominent organizations like the NAACP and the Black Coccus do nothing and if they are I don't see it nor hear about it. But I do see and hear of the death, harassment and physical abuse these corrupt cops are posing everyday within the black community.
This will be our conscious topic this Sunday on
