Why is it that there is often such a negative association with pole dancing? While the act of striptease exists in American culture, and has often accompanied a pole, stripping is not the only form of pole dancing. Burlesque is widely accepted and theres no level of strength being displayed.

I had the chance to speak with Diana Boyle, owner of Embody Pole Fitness about owning her business and pole dancing. Hopefully this interview will dispell some things we never knew about pole dancing before or help change our outlook on how to view the art.

"Hailing from the illustrious Golden State she always had an appreciation for love, fitness, artistic expression and a natural way of living. After having obtained a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Hampton University, she began to slowly come into her own rejecting the demands of what others felt were appropriate for her life. However, it wasn’t until she became a mother, that she truly understood her path and the necessity of support.
Having organized the most attended World Breastfeeding Event to date with the Northeast Valley Health Center, she began to live out loud, using social media to build her village, increase her family and establish a strong support system; spreading the message of self-love, healing and natural parenting.
Her message to all parents and individuals is, “It is okay to be 100% committed to your child(ren) and loved ones. In doing so make sure that you take the time to give to yourself."

January 24, 2010, I am interviewing Talece Brown, owner of Pole Dancing Magazine. Just because it is used in Burlesque shows and the bars, does not make this unhealthy and not a form of fitness. It's quite the opposite, exciting and sexy all at the same time. Also quite empowering. Tune in to see and hear about it. Visit poledancingonline.com.
People who are LOA savvy often are afraid that contrast or a negative thought or feeling will beget more contrast so they seek to move away from it as quickly as possible or even deny what they are actually feeling. Yet we also know that you can't put a "smiley face on an empty gas gauge" - no amount of denial or fancy dancing will change the vibration until it is replaced with a better one. In fact contrast can create expansion that makes for a much more delicious life experience.
Special guest Sara Exley has much to share on this topic and we can't wait to share it with you!
