We all experience pleasure and pain, usually on a daily basis. Both can be tools for a happier, healthier life. This week on Ciracle Radio all the listeners will be the guests. Join in and make comments or ask questions. Everyone has thoughts about this topic. We hosts - Sharon Bar Or, Sue Graywolf Petruzzi, and me, Jim Graywolf, have dealt with our pleasures and pains in different ways. We will share our stories as we listen to yours. And share how we work with others now to explore this subject more fully.
Many people say they experience no pleasure. Others hide their pain. Learning to accept both and deal with them spiritually and organically, without chemicals or other crutches is something many indigenous cultures have practiced for generations. Why then, as “we progress” do we now load ourselves with suppressants for pain and deny pleasure? We will relate what some of our indigenous teachers have taught us about this.
Hear why learning to stop seeing pain as an enemy allows for hearing what it teaches, stops us from choosing suffering and makes us happier and more balanced. We will look for you.
This week’s question: “Why do we always look for someone to take our pain away?”
We will be waiting for you at 12 noon PST/ 1 pm Mountain time/ 2 pm Central/ 3 pm EST/ 9 pm Germany and 10 pm Israel.

Join us as we interview Gemma Isaac, an accredited (MTA) music therapist and certified in Neurologic Music Therapy. As the music therapist at the Burns, Plastic and Trauma Unit (BPTU) at VGH, Gemma facilitates music therapy programs for patients, their families, and healthcare staff alike. http://gemmamusictherapy.com/
How does music therapy work?
Music therapy is facilitated through a variety of interventions including patient song choices, music making, song writing, improvisation, and guided relaxation. Other times, the music therapist works alongside other healthcare disciplines such as nurses, physiotherapist, or occupational therapist, using music during physical rehabilitation to inspire movement and promote encouragement by accompanying movement through musical cues, which also helps peoople become distracted from the pain. BLOODTHINNERS”-do they really thin the blood?
It has become common practice to give elderly human, baby aspirin daily for the purpose of thinning their blood.
Now what does it mean: “thinning the blood?”
How can aspirin thin the blood? Well, it does not. What we call blood thinners are medi-sins that prevent blood from coagulating.
What are the side effects of daily aspirin usage?
Stomach ulcers, intestinal bleeding, increased risk of pancreatic cancer, kidney damages, eye damages…
The benefits of blood thinning therapy taken from Dr. Mercola site;
Study Comparing Blood-Thinning Therapies to no Antithrombotic Therapy
• Participants included 279 patients who were diagnosed with heart failure that required diuretic therapy
• Participants were divided into three groups, aspirin therapy, warfarin therapy and no antithrombotic therapy
Results of the Study
• Aspirin and warfarin didn't provide the patients with any valuable health benefits
• There didn't appear to be any substantial differences of incidences of death, nonfatal heart attacks or nonfatal stroke in the three groups of the study
• Patients in the aspirin group had increased chances of experiencing serious gastrointestinal problems
• Patients in the aspirin therapy group were twice as likely as the patients in the warfarin group to face hospitalization for cardiovascular complications, particularly worsening cases of heart failure during the first 12 months following the study
If you want to thin the blood isn’t it normal that you reach for water first?

Tonight's special guest is Yanette (Lola Lola) Novoa, LCSW, from Miami, a child abuse survivor who studied psychology at Florida International University and is now writing a guide related to the issues of child abuse and trauma. Lola is the Founder and Director of Find The Way, LLC, and is publishing a new guide related to learning how to heal from child abuse and trauma. She says, "I know the pain, I know how it feels." Lola's childhood was taken away. She had been assaulted and raped from the age of 4 to the age of 12, ending in an illegal abortion at 12 in the presence of the perpetrator who forever changed her life. The new guide book, "Dare to Let Go and "Thrive": A Self Help Guide for Learning to Thrive After Experiencing Sexual Abuse", will be out next year. It invites the reader to learn the fundamental difference between "Thriving" versus surviving. Surviving is being able to function within a society. "Thriving" leads to living a meaningful life. Former victims of sexual assault can use the steps and strategies in this self help guide to point the way in becoming the thriving individual they are meant to be. Ms Novoa believes the key to all malice is "Prevention." In the long run, it is easier and cheaper to prevent than to treat. She specializes in working and assisting individuals of all ages that have suffered sexual abuse and are in need of finding their way to living a more meaningful life via different therapeutic techniques. Lola says, "I put together this guide mainly to .. give you some techniques to solve your own problems related to the long term effects of sexual abuse that you are carrying with you either consciously or unconsciously .. to be the thriving individual that you were meant to be.
