Dr. Marquis Boone, Fresh Start Church, The Blood Promise

    in Social Networking

The phrase 'pleading the blood' is often used by Christians.  What does it mean to plead the blood of Jesus?  Pleading the blood simply means applying the blood to our life and circumstances just like the Israelistes applied it to their door posts and were protected from the destroyer (Exodous 12).  You have this authority, but you have to also speak it.  Stay tuned to 'The Blood Promise'.

    When Rehabilitation becomes a prison

    Hosted by Craig Sicilia

Sounds odd don’t it but this more common than you realize, I will be featuring several of our brothers and sisters in survival that this has happened and is currently happening.  Our longtime friend DJ is just one of those.  He has no rights what so ever and now it appears the service he is in is intentionally trying to get a behavioral excess out of him to build up a case, and is in punish mode with insulted treatment by staff, refusal of medical services like a competency test, medical records.  He cannot get visitors, he cannot even sit outside at a bench they have alone.  His guardian is a family member who he does not have or ever have had a good relationship with.  And together they are laying the ground work to give him a major shafting that will drain his money, take away any rights or access.  He has not been to any of his court appointments regarding his situation.  Everything is done behind his back.  Everything is about him without him.

You not going to believe the emotional and mental abuse he is getting in this center and no one is doing anything.  I am working on changing this getting ready to send out a email pleading for assistance to every state representative and senator in Florida in hopes one will stand up and help him as well as every major new agency in Florida and the nation to bring light to this situation which is more common than you think.  Hope to have fox news chime in as well as federal watch dog organizations.  Let’s spread the word this could be you or a love one of yours.

An Alcoholic Family in Crisis with Alberta Sequira

    in Family

Alcoholism is a family disease, a deadly one that cannot be fought by the substance abuser alone. That said, it is always an uphill battle. Those close to the alcoholic suffer tremendously. Logic does not work when dealing with addicts, nor does pleading or crying. We cannot force them to get help. We can only love and support them, give them every reason to want sobriety for themselves, and then pray that they will choose survival.

Today's special guest, Alberta Sequeira has lived this nightmare and fought this battle twice; first with her husband, and then with her daughter. Tragically, both of these battles were lost. Her husband and daughter both succumbed to their diseases. In the hopes that other families suffering similar addictions will recognize the problem, come out of hiding, and seek help without fear or embarrassment, Alberta has shared her story. She has written two hearfelt memoirs; Someone Stop This Merry-Go-Round: An Alcoholic Family in Crisis, and Please, God, Not Two: This Killer Called Alcoholism.

Alberta Sequeira is a writer, four-time award winning author, motivational speaker, and director/producer/co-host of a Massachusetts Cable TV show. She also teaches workshops for writers. Today she will tell her story, sharing hope and inspiration to all.

    Interview with Bachata Artist @OfficialLYNX!

    in Music

Lynx is a bachata artist from the Bronx, who believes in writing original compositions in order to bring fresh and exciting material to the public.  However, he is not your typical bachatero.  Lynx debut single, "Máscara" infused bachata with opera and his most recent single off of the album, "Somos Uno", is about the importance of love and equality for people with special needs; a song he dedicated to his youngest brother Leonardo who is autistic and blind.  This album will also introduce a type of bachata Lynx calls, "dark bachata", with the single, "Pena de Muerte"; the song tells the story of a murderer on death row, pleading for God's salvation and battling his inner demons.  Lynx's story is both unique and intriguing and I think that your audience would really enjoy what he brings to the table.

Heidi Boghosian talks about government surveillance, corporate power and public resistance with Robert Scheer. Heidi Boghosian is Executive Director of the National Lawyers Guild. Robert Scheer is Editor-in-Chief of Truthdig.

"Heidi Boghosian's Spying on Democracy is the answer to the question, 'if you're not doing anything wrong, why should you care if someone's watching you?'" ~ Michael German, Senior Policy Counsel, ACLU and former FBI agent

Michael German says that "this unrestrained spying is inevitably used to suppress the most essential tools of democracy: the press, political activists, civil rights advocates and conscientious insiders who blow the whistle on corporate malfeasance and government abuse."

Heidi adds, “If the trend is permitted to continue, we will soon live in a society where nothing is confidential, no information is really secure, and our civil liberties are under constant surveillance and control.”

Homos and Lesbos= Americas= The New Sodom and Gomorrah

    in Radio

    "sin of Sodom and Gomorrah?"

Answer: The biblical account of Sodom and Gomorrah is recorded in Genesis chapters 18-19. Genesis chapter 18 records the Lord and two angels coming to speak with Abraham. The Lord informed Abraham that "the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous." Verses 22-33 record Abraham pleading with the Lord to have mercy on Sodom and Gomorrah because Abraham's nephew, Lot, and his family lived in Sodom.

Genesis chapter 19 records the two angels, disguised as human men, visiting Sodom and Gomorrah. Lot met the angels in the city square and urged them to stay at his house. The angels agreed. The Bible then informs us, "Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom — both young and old — surrounded the house. They called to Lot, 'Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.'" The angels then proceed to blind all the men of Sodom and Gomorrah and urge Lot and his family to flee from the cities to escape the wrath that Yahawah was about to deliver. Lot and his family flee the city, and then "the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah from the LORD out of the heavens. Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, including all those living in the cities..."
"What was the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah?" is that it was homosexuality. That is how the term "sodomy" came to be used to refer to anal sex between two men, whether consensual or forced. Clearly, homosexuality was part of why Yahawah destroyed the two cities. The men of Sodom and Gomorrah wanted to perform homosexual gang rape on the two angels (who were disguised as men). At the same time, it is not biblical to say that homosexuality was the exclusive reason why Yahawah destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah

    in Prayer

What does it mean to ask the Father "in the Name of Jesus?" When we do so, we are approaching our father God as "a representative of" or "on the authority of" Yeshua.. We're asking God to respond to us because of our association with Jesus Christ. In a way we're merely the messenger; the request truly belongs to Christ. When we ask in His name it is not as though Christ is pleading on our behalf; rather we are pleading on His behalf:

Talk of the Town- Fall from Grace- The Ebony Factor

    in Politics

Anthony "Ebony" Davis Councilman of the 1st Ward turned in his resignation agter pleading guilty to Bribry charges in federal court leaving the city in a political quandry.

    Remarks from Davis:

“I made an inexcusable mistake,” said Davis, who represents the city’s 1st Ward, in a brief interview with Paterson Press on Tuesday evening. “That’s all I can tell you.”

When asked if his resignation stemmed from an ongoing criminal investigation, Davis said, “Yes.” During the summer, there had been widespread rumors that

Davis was under investigation by the FBI involving his role as a city councilman. Federal officials at that time would not confirm or deny whether Davis was the subject of a probe.

Davis, who works at Passaic County Community College, on Tuesday declined to discuss the investigation.

On April 20, 2012 – less than four weeks before the election -- Davis extorted a $5,000 bribe from a law enforcement informant posing as an out-of-state developer looking to do business in Paterson, the councilman admitted in federal court on Wednesday.

Davis, 50, also admitted in court that he took a second $5,000 bribe from the informant on July 25, 2012, two months after he won the 1st Ward election by just 46 votes. He resigned from this council seat Wednesday afternoon.

Davis,  was serving as city council president at the time he took the bribes.

What is next for the 1st Ward? Who is next for the 1st Ward? Should there be a special election to fill the vacant seat or should the Council appoint someone to fill in until  November 2015?

We all make kistakes but is this to big to forgive Davis for?
