Safety Jason Hendricks, built off a stellar redshirt junior season that earned him Preseason All-ACC honors to lead the Pitt Panthers in tackles, in 2013 (85). Hendricks quietly put together a fabulous career at Pitt. Playing alongside some of the top Big East or ACC talent (Jabaal Sheard, Aaron Donald).
Perhaps Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly put it best when he said, "Aaron Donald is a one-man wrecking crew."...the All-America candidate was one of the most disruptive defensive lineman in college football...named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year by the Atlantic Coast Conference Sports Media Association...leads the nation in tackles for loss (2.2 per game), while ranking 13th in sacks (0.83 per game) and 10th in forced fumbles (0.33 per game)...Donald is second in the FBS for active
This Radio show was created for parents & community members throughout Ontario who have gone through an Accommodations Review of Schools in their community. Many of us have had similar issues with the way the school board has not followed policy. Its not just in your community. You are not alone. The Ministry of Education has been brought in to review the process. Facilitators are sent by the Ministry to review whether the process was followed. The school boards are able to give excuses why they feel they followed their policy. A policy is black and white. An excuse is a cover up. According to the Education Act, School Boards have the right to close schools if they follow their board approved Accommodations Review policy. We strongly believe that if the board does not follow their own policy, they do not have the right to close a school. Not all school boards are the same. Share your thoughts, your stories and lets do what is right for the children. All children deserve the right to attend a school in their own community.
What we found out through the Accommodation Review Process , and our appeal to the Ministry of Education, is that even though you show facts that the School Board did not follow their own policy during the Accommodations Review, the facilitator has the final say. In the East Welland Accommodations Review Appeal, the petitioners made key points where the policy was not followed. The facilitator made it clear in her report that the board deviated from their policy. There were many excuses, some beyond belief.
The purpose of an Appeal is for the Ministry of Education to determine whether or not the School Board involved followed their policy or not. The Appeal is not to determine whether or not the Accommodations Review was fair or unfair for the schools involved.
