Hi Everyone! Today I have a very special guest Yusef El. Joseph is a regular Host on Blog Talk Radio. His show is every day in the morning - usually called Rules of the Game. But he also explores the divine feminine and the divine masculine from time to time, and he discusses the difference between religion and spirituality. He has a very strong message to "his people" as he calls them. The brothers and the sisters out there! And I love his show. I listen as often as I can, because he tells the truth - and that's with a capital T - The Truth!!
I have also invited Carolyn to come back on and read her mantra to us again for living in her Temple. She was on my show several weeks ago, and we enjoyed her so much. She also will jump in with her ideas of living in her tample as a woman.
We are going to allow the divine feminine and masculine spirit of all there is to lead us in discussing this important - and I believe - historic subject. And we will be talking to all of you out there in the world of capitalism, working your fingers to the bone to put bread on your table! The servers, the managers, the salesmen & women, the secretaries, the doctors and the lawyers, the Senators and the Congressmen, everyone actually who is involved in living in this Country with a vested personal interest in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness!!!!
Saxophonist Richard Elliot has arrived at a very special anniversary for blowing audiences away with his soulfully robust playing. 2014 marks 30 years since the release of his debut solo album, Initial Approach (ITI – 1984), on which he stepped out showcasing his tenor sax, soprano sax, Lyricon and writing skills. What does a red-blooded Scottish sax man raised in Los Angeles – now with a wife and five children – do for a 30-year encore? Well, this one-time member of the classic soul band Tower of Power proves he’s “not a young man” and drops the most overtly sensual, romantic and intimate album of his career in collaboration with contemporary jazz production/guitar giant Paul Brown. The title of this 17th solo project is Lip Service (the artist’s first for Heads Up/Concord Music Group).
Over time, he became a part of that country’s scene of young rising jazz artists and freelance musicians, featured as both a singer and saxophonist. Lie toured Norway, Sweden, and Finland with different groups and appeared on the jazz shows of NRK, the Norwegian equivalent of the BBC. Lie was also a recipient of a grant from the Norwegian State Fund for Performing Artists.
Lie later decided to move to the U.S. since his favorite styles of music “were being created in this country 24/7 everywhere.” Loving the Southern California climate and being “a certified beach bum,” he chose L.A. as his new base. Since then he has been a jazz artist and freelance musician, performing in clubs and at festivals and concerts throughout the West Coast.
Little Rock, AR – Overcoming a debilitating illness often gives people a new enthusiasm for life. Blessed with a second chance, they resolve to take advantage of all the precious moments life has to offer. While waiting for my kidney transplant, Mary Kathryn Marcom received her certification in coaching.
“I felt like I had a lot to offer because of what I’d been through,” says Marcom. “I have a lot of enthusiasm for life and I know it’s possible to go through challenges and still come out on the other side. I’m all about making my life better every day and I like to share that with people.”
Today, Marcom is the founder of Life Coach Arkansas, a general coaching practice serving the population of Little Rock and Central Arkansas. As both a certified Life Coach and Certified Christian Life Coach, Marcom works with clients one-on-one, in a group setting and offers consulting for businesses and churches.
“I’ve been through a lot so I think that gives me a different perspective and understanding of what people go through on a daily basis,” says Marcom. “I really see the value in life coaching and I hope other people begin to see that. When people get to know me they realize I’m there to help them.”
Originally a licensed social worker, Marcom says a part of her has always felt for the underdog. She collaborates with her clients on everything from health and wellness and time management to life after addiction and even relationship problems.
“I never let my kidney disease or my time in a wheelchair stop me,” says Marcom. “I just kept fighting and fighting. I don’t give up easily and if I’m your coach, neither will you.”
