Artists You Should Know is all about helping you expand your skill set and become a better photographer and business person. Skip Cohen is your host and today's guest is Nate Grahek, founder of Sticky Albums.
So many of you have unique ideas, concepts to raise the bar on the way photographers do business, their workflow or maybe it’s a technique. The challenge is getting your message out there in an industry that’s constantly changing. Nate and Skip had a chance to talk a little while at ShutterFest and it just seemed like a great idea to continue the conversation here on the SCU Podcast.
Nick is a photographer, educator, tech maven and entrepreneur. He's passionate about helping others do more of what they love. After seeing his own portrait clients reaction to the custom mobile apps he was building for them, Nate founded StickyAlbums.com in 2012 to let all photographers easily create custom branded mobile apps for each of their clients, grow their word-of-mouth referrals, and their business.

Without question one of his secrets is his passion for imaging and he talks about it in this podcast. Bigfoot. The first Americans talk about the creature in their legends. Some tribes consider them to be brothers. But wait...several crypto-zoologists are talking about how hard it is to get a picture of Bigfoot that is not blurry. Having photos come out blurry is a thorny, but common problem for paranormal investigators. And now, people are talking about seeing Bigfoots being dropped off by UFO's. Are we losing it? Could interdimensional travel or interstellar travel explain why no remains have ever been found? Or is this just getting a little weird to get viewers and make money. Bring your cards and read along...

Skip Cohen is your host and today he's talking with a long time good buddy, Tony Corbell. After the podcast wander over to the SCU site and read Tony's guest post from last year, but stay tuned, he'll be doing more!
If you don't know Tony, then you simply need to get out more often. He's a photographer, educator, writer, visionary and just a great friend to a lot of people in the photographic industry. He's also totally focused on helping photographers raise the bar on their image quality and considered one of the industry's most qualified experts on lighting!
This podcast is all thanks to Tamron USA and their never-ending support for education in imaging, as well as being dedicated to making great glass. Tony's got a couple of favorite Tamron focal lengths that he and Skip will be talking about in this podcast.
If you're at a convention and Tony's scheduled to be teaching, run, don't walk, to get a seat! He's one of the best presenters in professional photography.
Artists You Should Know is all about helping you expand your skill set and become a better photographer and business person. Skip Cohen is your host and today's guest is the one and only Chris Becker, simply known as "The Becker".
Besides being an outstanding photographer, Becker's been a solid supporter of education. He founded the B-school, which for many years was providing some outstanding education to photographers. Since the B-school his focus on education and marketing morphed into Photogrefers and developing an effective referral network.
Becker is definitely an artist who needs to be on your radar. Check out Photogrefers to see the latests in what Becker is up to and follow his blog. You'll also find some great advice on Becker's new SCU faculty page.
