This is a black arts and culture site. We will be exploring the African Diaspora via the writing, performance, both musical and theatrical (film and stage), as well as the visual arts of Africans in the Diaspora and those influenced by these aesthetic forms of expression. I am interested in the political and social ramifications of art on society, specifically movements supported by these artists and their forebearers. It is my claim that the artists are the true revolutionaries, their work honest and filled with raw unedited passion. They are our true heroes. Ashay!
American Made is the new chic. From Farmers Markets to glassware to clothing, etc., more and more Americans are insisting on products made entirely in this country. Why is that? My guest today, Wendy Rosen, is going to talk about that. She jumped on the bandwagon 25 years ago with her American Made Show, which, in its first few years, grew more than 400%. She also founded the Artists Business Institute, a non-profit that teaches artisans the business skills they need to survive and thrive.
A Christian potpourri inspirational program with your host Chaplain Elmon Krupnik (www.ecainternational.org), featuring prayer, reading of Scripture, sermons, lyrics from hymns and Christian contemporary music from artists Randy and Marli Brown (www.randyandmarli.com), Huntley Brown (www.huntleybrown.org) and Kay Werho (www.chungkyungjoo.net) with songs in English and Korean. Also my sermons can be viewed on Youtube at this link http://www.youtube.com/user/IHSTogether
It is my hope and prayer that you enjoy this time we have together in worship and praise. Thank you for listening!
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him

Around just about as long as the Internet email marketing has been pooh-poohed as "old school" and no longer relevant. Our guests Mckenna Hallett and Scott Fox beg to differ.
In 1992, Mckenna launched her own business selling jewelry. Living in Hawaii she had to figure out how to reach a much wider audience. She turned to the fledgling Internet, built a website and developed an email marketing campaign. Since then Mckenna has sold more than 40,000 pieces of jewelry to more than 200 shops. Today she continues to sell steadily to over 50 shops and galleries across the nation.
Best-selling author, Scott Fox was in Silicon Valley as the Internet was exploding into new opportunities. Instead of pursuing his intended law career he became engaged in strategizing on how to capitalize on the new technology, starting and consulting in many e-business start ups. Today he hosts a popular online business training forum, podcasts about online business opportunities, consults on new online businesses and coaches entrepreneurs worldwide.
They are both passionate about email marketing and see it as the best way to reach others - in their inboxes. They share a commitment to helping others use the power of the Internet to design successful lives.
We talk about:
building and growing your email list
integrating your website with your email marketing
ways to manage your list and possible providers
best practices in reaching your audience
the top reasons for using email marketing
email vs Facebook and other social media
optimizing for mobile

U-Nam returns with a brand new project, C'est Le Funk. Brent Black from criticaljazz.com said about C'est Le Funk, "For the artists that walk the smoother side of the improvisational street, the groove has remained stagnant for over a decade. The differences between most artists can be measured with a sheet of paper. U/Nam's C'est Le Funk pushes the music forward and drops a groove bomb of flavor and lyrical flow that most artists are still struggling to find. These are old school vibes dusted off with a new cool funk full of attitude and a technical proficiency to match. While there is an obvious George Benson like influence, U/Nam channels this pioneering sound into his own unique presentation. Simply put, no other contemporary artist sounds like U/Nam!"
