It’s too darn hot in Los Angeles and your friends in podcasting are high as proverbial kites on codeine swirl frappuccinos!
Dean performed in a “Live Event of the Week” and this fact leads to a discussion of public transportation, the immune system and Biddy Mason.
Phil spent all week (and the week before that) trying to get their new film submitted to Sundance, and in the process watch documentaries about The Magnificent Seven, Sam Peckinpah and Stanley Kubrick’s Paths of Glory. He also saw the last film to star the great James Gandolfini (and boasting merely the latest indelible performance from the masterful Tom Hardy).
Two “Lawsuits of the Week” are discussed, which leads to analysis of sexual abuse in Hollywood, domestic violence in professional football and the role of interns in show business.
A great comic and a legendary big-screen villain are remembered.
All that, plus much more … Pass the Chillpak. It’s too darn hot!

At a time like NOW, with the propaganda machine churning out manufactured event after event, and the Hegelian Dialectic in full swing, it would be wise to possess a road map to navigate this playing field littered with proverbial land mines. Tune in tonight to hear some sound reasoning from one of the very first elders to sound the alarm, decades ago about the multi contextualized scenarios that have visited us in this present day paradigm, we call the NOW.
Join us for the beginning of our 2014 season with this brief look back at game one against Buffalo, and a look ahead as we prepare for the San Francisco 49ers.
We'll be blunt and to the punch regarding the prospects of our Chicago Bears this season, and what we believe is the answer to many questions.
The Bears home opener loss to the lowly Bills was the first in several years. So here's what we're looking at folks; Lovie Smith gets canned after posted a 10-6 record in his final year as coach. Enter Marc Tresman who puts up an 8-8 first season mark missing the playoffs like Lovie the years prior.
Trust me, we don't want Lovie Smith back in the Windy City (his team looked much worst on opening day at home, and his offense stunk which is his usual trademark), but do we really think that Tresman has and will do better????
We'll swiftly answer that question in this show.....
