The Journey Continues with ~ Pastor Michael Etheridge
Michael Etheridge began his career in the music industry in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Mike was an original member of the Neptune’s with Chad Hugo, Pharrell Williams and Sheldon Haley. Mike, Pharrell and Sheldon attended Princess Anne high school together. Mike was the singer in the group and Teddy Riley who’s studio was next to the High School, took an interest in the group and signed Mike as a solo artist. Pharrell and Chad went on to become one of the biggest names in music industry as producers. While signed with Riley, Mike wrote for the 7x platinum group Black Street’s album Another Level. Mike also released a single called Masterplan, after Capitol records picked up his album, when Riley’s label LIL man records was released from Interscope Records. It was then that Mike had a spiritual encounter with God. At this point Mike began to shift his focus on positive spiritual music that would change the world! After a long hiatus of soul searching and self evaluation Mike is back with a new sound and a new movement called Generation Next.
Today Michael is producing, writing, arranging and singing with a brand new sound (R&B/Gospel feel). In 2013 he produced a song called “Still Got Love” for Artist No Malice on album “Hear Ye Him”. Almost one year later in 2014 Mike has released his first Official single “Faithful”. Faithful has resonated with so many people and it’s subsequent powerful music video has bought tears to the eyes of thousands. Mr. Etheridge’s latest single release New Life ft. Artist No Malice, is already making its mark. Mike’s blend of gospel, R&B, Hip Hop and soul is a breath of fresh air. Coupled with conscious and positive lyrics, Mike’s sound is sure to make a mark all over the world.
Kameelah Williams, aka, Meelah was born & raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ironically enough she became the lead singer of the multi platinum trio 702, which is the Las Vegas area code. Meelah was deemed the voice of the group by her position as lead vocalist on 702s chart topping singles such as the Missy Elliott produced "Steelo"& ladies' anthem "Where My Girls At", which stayed in the top 20 for more than 30 weeks on Billboard's top 40 pop chart, earning a nomination for an American Music Award. Her sultry lead vocals were also displayed on an array of other 702 hits including the R&B top 10 power ballad "Get It Together". The instant popularity afforded 702 the opportunity to work with Nickelodeon on their hit tv show "Cousin Skeeter" on which Meelah sang lead for the theme song.
702 went on to record 3 studio albums, winning a Lady of Soul Award for album of the year. They also recorded "Beep Me 911", the Timbaland produced hit single featured on Missy Elliott's debut album, where Meelah & Missy shared the lead vocal spotlight. Meelah also sung lead vocals alongside Pharrell Williams on 702s understated, yet riveting record "I Still Love You".
With international, multi platinum success came world tours, joining other major artists (New Edition, Brandy, and Brian McKnight), soundtrack recordings (Good Burger, Stewart Little), song features, and sitcom appearances (Moesha, Sister Sister). Other television appearances were made worldwide including the UK's legendary "Top of the Pops".
