The NNIA network presents Recovery Radio Fresno with Louis Angel. This weeks guest is Daisy Lopez from Performing Above The High Project
Daisy has dedicated the last 8 years of her career to youth development and community programming with various nonprofits throughout the Central Valley. She’s led various projects including teen pregnancy prevention initiatives, tobacco prevention programming, gang awareness and prevention projects, and most recently she was hired as the Program Manager of the Fresno County Marijuana Prevention Project known as PATH. Daisy graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Restorative Justice and more recently completed a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies from Fresno Pacific University.
The Performing Above the High (PATH) Project is a program of the California Health Collaborative, a nonprofit dedicated to serving the undeserved. The PATH Project was created in response to the growing marijuana use rates among Fresno County teens. Funded by the Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health, the PATH Project's main goal is to decrease marijuana use among the 12-20 year old population by creating environments where marijuana use among teens is less accessible, less acceptable, and less desirable. The PATH Project's main strategies include community norm change efforts, evidence based youth education, parent education and awareness efforts, and community advocacy activities.
Other featured speaker’s include Haide Medina and Alyssa Boyles, who both share a love for the people they work with. I personally know Haide and very happy to have met her. She puts all her heart into her work and has a deep commitment for the people she is helping.
Recovery Radio Fresno would like to also give a special thanks to Haide Medina helping to make this show happen. Thanks Haide!

It is in the wee hours of Thanksgiving morning and I am wide away. This show has been on my mind to do since I saw the awful video of the murder of Laquan McDonald. I paused at the beginning of the show because I think it has been said that all of this went down in 30 seconds meaning from the time the officer arrived on scene and fired 16 shots in LaQuan who was already down from the first few shots. But as usual you have those who see nothing wrong. On CNN I saw one of their regulars who come on during police shootings and he had the audacity to say that the killing of African-Americans involving police is not an epidemic. I sat here shaking my head as of last year there was Eric Garner, Tamir Rice and the awful not guilty verdict of Micheal Brown that was happening last year around this time. I can remember almost feeling guilty to sit at my Thanksgiving table being happy when I knew that The Brown family had an empty chair. The officials of the Chicago were forced to release that video and they were forced to arrest the officer involved. But their lenghthy investigation stinks to high heavens. I have tried time and time to again to give Rahm Emmanual the benefit of the doubt but the writing is on the wall. This cannot go on! This young man had a hard life and the system have not only failed him once but twice. I have been watching the coverage of the protests and I thank those on social media who have kept me up on everything happening. So as all of this plays out think about what you are thankful for?

A program dedicated to THE MOST HIGH YHWH to whom all BARACH, HONOR, and GLORY is due. To HIS Son Yisrael, and other nations desiring truth.
The time is now to seek THE MOST HIGH YHWH'S wisdom of HIS WORD. The time is now to seek HIM for safety, for understanding of things that have been hidden for ages.
We are the children of YHWH chosen to lead the earth in HIS Ways. We will be put back in position to take our rightful place being the priests and ministers of YHWH.
We invite you to learn of HIS ways so that you can be saved. Selah.
The Yehudah Project offers a channel of community building and cultural enrichment, facilitating awareness, by providing a vehicle for collaborative problem solving and promoting community involvement. We encourage free exchange of information, resources, culture and critical issues. We gather and evaluate under published information and act as a resource and network for individuals, organizations and movements working on social sustainability.
It is mandated by YHWH for us to come together and pray: we are a nation of people with dual nationalities and we have to open dialog as a nation to prepare ourselves and our families for the changes that are about to happen according to the Word. Children are won through the union of the man and the woman. Let’s remember our children learn what they live!
All people everywhere have set their eyes upon the worlds most popular book ever! So many versions... But ONE reason, meaning, purpose. We will tell you our own accounts with the Holy Word, and what it means to us. And what it ought to mean to you.
See you tonight at 9 pm, and the series will continue to Saturday as well.

Ceet the Author hails from South Philadelphia, where he began honing his craft as an artist as early as age nine. At age fourteen he wrote a short story for his high school English class titled, Summertime in my Neighborhood. Fifteen years later that story became the basis for Ceet's first official release, 2009's The Whore and The Virgin. The book became an instant hood classic and all of the positive feedback inspired Ceet to release his second effort, A Dog's Day, that very same year.
Ceet then began pursuing another passion of his, filmmaking and videography in 2010 by writing, producing and directing several independent film projects while releasing several more novels under the imprint of BRP Entertainment and with several projects down the line, Ceet shows no signs of slowing down...
Kvn Tajzea (Keh-vun Tah- Jhay) is more than your typical R&B singer, songwriter and actor. Kvn began his love affair with music and acting at a very young age. "I was a very sick child growing up and nearly died a few times. I wasn'treally allowed to play outside until the age of 7 because my immune system was so weak." He read, listened to, and watched a plethora of varying artistic expression. Even after becoming healthy enough to lead the normal life of a kid his passion for the arts continued to grow and manifested itself in a variety of ways ranging from poetry, drawing, songwriting and acting. Kvn is an accomplished vocalist with a four octave range whose smooth, syrupy and comforting voice conceals an old school rasp that lets you in on the pain and tribulation that fuels a tone of hope in every note he sings. "The First Return" is Kvn's debut project featuring the production of hit maker Ron Love of MonaRK Productions.
Join me, Why Yet, as I chat it up with both of these industrious artists.
