"Pudding Pops, Pedophiles, and Pimpin'"
"Is Bill Cosby a sexual predator who's being exposed, or a black man with power who's being attacked? how many sexual assault victims go unreported and unheard of in our commuity? How many innocent black men get accused of child molestation and rape? And have we made all of this worse through our cultural justifications of and pandering? We'll discuss it all on Sunday--in The Barbershop!"
There is overwhelming number of pastors being arrested, exposed and imprisoned because of the crime of pedophilia. Almost exclusively male, these men are exploiting our young people while the men in the congregation sit idly by with little or no objection. Why do we keep hiring these monsters to prey over our kids? Who is doing the background checks?
Can they be redeemed? Yes. Can they preach or teach? NO!
We are going to discuss this pervasive problem in the BOC and see "hear" what the Word of God says we should do to eliminate this problem!
On this week's show, which airs Sunday, October 5th, at 7:00 PM, E.S.T., we will discuss what has always been a contreversial topic; The Death Penalty. But with a twist... Should all Pedephiles be sentenced to death? Would that solve the problem and protect our children?
Get ready, because this is a HEATED topic! It raises many philosophical questions about who we want to be as a society and all of you are invited to share your opinions. Be prepared to be educated, enlightened and to possibly have your views changed, one way or the other.
The 'Let's Change the WORLD' Weekly Talk Radio Show is your opportunity, as a regular, everyday, ordinary person, to have your voice heard. Agreement is never required on our show; but courtesy and respect are, so there is never any reason to be shy or silent.

Join Ms. Mary & Dr. Janet to discuss how we can better train our children to recognize strange behavior in others. "Pedophiles can be anyone -- old or young, rich or poor, educated or uneducated, non-professional or professional, and of any race. However, pedophiles often demonstrate similar characteristics, but these are merely indicators and it should not be assumed that individuals with these characteristics are pedophiles. But knowledge of these characteristics coupled with questionable behavior can be used as an alert that someone may be a pedophile." ~about.com
Pope says about two percent of priests are pedophiles:
"Many of my collaborators who fight with me (against paedophilia) reassure me with reliable statistics that say that the level of paedophilia in the Church is at about two percent,"Francis was quoted as saying.
"This data should hearten me but I have to tell you that it does not hearten me at all. In fact, I think that it is very grave," he was quoted as saying.
The pope was quoted as saying that, while most paedophilia took place in family situations, "even we have this leprosy in our house".
PimpPreacher.com - Today we will discuss how it seems that Pedophiles in the church seem to target young men. We will also discuss the Pope's comments about the huge amount of focus on gays. Are pedophiles gay men or have gay men simply been grouped with the pedophiles.

Tonight's special guest is Angela Kepperling from Fairborn, Ohio, who has been advocating for over 20 years and now runs the Scarlet Advocacy, which specializes in being a Court Watch for Child Abuse, Neglect and Custody cases. She writes, "I am eager to help any and all parents that are caught in the court system to save their children from abuse." Angela points out that over 85% of all addicts were abused as children, most sexually. She says, "If we can at the very least keep all pedophiles locked up for the rest of their natural lives, do you realize how much the crime rate would drop?! Think about not only the child abuse, but the crimes committed by addicts! It would be staggering! The lives that would be saved! THAT is my dream." Angela recently opened her own Advocacy Agency, Scarlet Advocacy, explaining, "I am so fed up with all of the corrupt agencies and organizations that are supposed to help people and me being such a, shall we say, outright and vocal individual, that I thought the best way to fight against child abuse and neglect was to open my own." Ms Kepperling has been advocating for over 20 years, and tells us her agency advocates across the board for everything from pointing a person in the direction of a food bank all the way to suing the FBI. "I will walk you through the process. I do specialize in being a Court Watch for Child Abuse, Neglect and Custody cases," she reminds us. "All my services are free. I am a non profit. I do any and everything I can possibly do to help others."

Tonight's special guest is KiloMarie Granda from St. Cloud, Minnesota, a child abuse and rape survivor who's now a Violence Prevention and Response Coordinator and a Wellness Center Coordinator at University of Minnesota. She's also the founder of Unspoken Voices, where the motto is "One voice changes everything." KiloMarie has worked with both offenders and victim/survivors and has seen the damage caused in lives of many due to interpersonal violence. As a result of this and her own experience as a survivor of childhood abuse and rape, she realized that far too many individuals' voices, including her own, often remain unspoken. KiloMarie believes that if the work that Unspoken Voices does affects even one life in a positive manner, than it gives meaning to her experiences. "For far too long, victim/survivors, bystanders, and our society has remained silent on the issues of personal power-based violence. The silence must be shattered," she says. "We must be willing to raise our own voices and declare that violence is not okay, not tolerable, and should never be encouraged." To this end, KiloMarie and Unspoken Voices offer a variety of awareness, educational, and training events, regionally and nationally. She invites folks to "please feel free to reach out to this organization or another on behalf of yourself, your friend, your neighbor, or the person that you pass on the street. Violence is occuring at epidemic proportions, and only when we use our voices against it, do we have a real opportunity to create a positive and lasting cultural change."

SPECIAL TOPIC Night - "Child Abuse, Trauma and 12-Step Recovery" - STEP 10 - SCAN host Bill Murray will be joined by special guest co-host Rivka Edery, MSW, LCSW, from NYC, author of the book “Trauma and Transformation: A 12-Step Guide." Bill founded the recently launched Adult Survivors of Child Abuse Anonymous (ASCAA). Together they will lead tonight's discussion on STEP 10: "Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it." Step Ten is not about maintenance, because there is a rule in our universe that nothing ever stays the same. All living matter is either in a process of growing or in the process of regressing. Up until now, if you followed the first nine steps with an honest heart and the direction of a Higher Power, you will have grown considerably. If you do not keep growing, you will start sliding back into your old behavior patterns and ways of thinking. ~~ A child abuse survivor herself, Rivka Edery is grateful for the spiritual recovery she found in the 12 Steps of AA. She's been active in the 12 Step community for over 17 years. Bill Murray credits his 30 plus years of recovery to the spiritual power of the 12 Step program, too. ~~ Join us every two weeks to further examine a 12 Step approach to recovery from abuse. Next show we'll address STEP 11. ~~ Please see our web page at: www.NAASCA.org/Trauma-12Step or write to Rivka at: firstname.lastname@example.org

Tonight's special guest is Stacie Kelly from Victoria BC, an abuse survivor and activist who's serving as the Coordinator for 1st Annual #NoMoreShame Conference 2015, being put on by Trauma University which will be held June 26, 27 & 28th in Portland, Oregon. It's described as "For Survivors. By Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse." Born and raised an Oregonian, Stacie describes herself as, "an exceptionally positive individual who enjoys staying busy." But, she explains, "About three years ago I was diagnosed with Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD). I am a survivor of a decade of incest - an unfortunate multi-generational pattern of abuse that extends as far back as three generations ago. I am on bi-daily antidepressant medication(s) and am currently in weekly somatic counseling." She says, "Childhood trauma is still a relatively new field of study and it is often overshadowed by Veterans and/or people with Traumatic Brain Injuries. My hope is to shed light on the daily life of someone struggling with mental wellness and provide insight on the impact of sexual abuse and silence." And true to form she's not just sitting back waiting for others to make further developments in the field. "I am currently working in a volunteer capacity as a Conference Coordinator for Trauma Recovery University. I speak every day to survivors around the globe who are interested in participating in our conference. It is survivor led and born out of passion to break the cycle of shame, silence and abuse."
