    Boston Olympics 2 of 2

    in Politics Progressive

Everyone in Boston seems excited about the 2024 Olumbics bid — but not all in a positive way. Last week'a ahow was just Mike presenting the plus side's position. In fairness to them, they are not pretending the city won't have to prove itself in many ways to win the final bid against the several foreign competitors.

Thi time, I'll have Aaron Leibowitz representing No Boston Olympics on to discuss theywhy not of it all.

To the boosters, the city would end up with vastly improved transportation sysatems and other infrastructure and more...all with little or no resulting debt. In faxct a big sales tactic is that only by preparing for a 2024 games will Bosotn make these upgrades.

Listen in for a differing view.

Boston College Football: Ryan Day's Departure Fallout

    in Sports

In 2015, Boston College will have a new offensive coordinator.

Ryan Day is no longer a member of the Boston College football coaching staff. The offensive coordinator returns to his old college coach by accepting the quarterbacks position coach slot with the Philadelphia Eagles. Reunited with Chip Kelly, Day will be at the reigns of a position featuring one of the brightest young arms in the NFL.

With Day gone, there will be much speculation as to who is the next man up to help run the Eagles offense. There is also going to be a reverberating impact on the team, especially with a plethora of young talent still waiting to be refined by the Boston College system. As the team heads into the spring of 2015, this adds to the question marks surrounding the wide receiver, offensive line, and quarterback positions.

We try to make sense of Day's departure and try to look forward into the crystal ball of who could be stepping forward as the new OC of the Eagles. Join us Tuesday at 8 PM as Dan and AJ jump on live with BCI Radio for what is sure to be a tense show. Give us a call at 646-200-0446 to discuss Day, the BC Eagles, and the steps forward.

For the first time in what seems like a long time (but not too long at all), the Eagles are at a crossroads. We try to talk it through on BCI Radio. So tune in and let us hear your thoughts!

Is cheap Saudi oil a Trojan horse?

    in Politics Conservative

There's a downside to the cheap gasoline you see at the pump.

It's cheap because Saudi Arabia is intentionally dumping oil on the markets at a price that other oil producers have trouble matching.

International economies are being put under stress by the Saudi moves.

Is this capitalism, as some insist, or are the Saudis perpetrating global economic warfare?

Meanwhile, adherents to Islam continue waging more typical terrorism on the West.

Obama skipped Paris as international leaders rallied there to denounce recent attacks. Obama, meanwhile, has released more long-detained Jihadists from Gitmo. Coincidence?

If there's any good coming out of the Paris attacks, maybe it's that more people have begun to question the Left's doctrine of multiculturalism.

Don and Doug will take up these matters and more, Friday at 1:00 pm EST, as we continue to connect the dots in perilous times.

    Boston Olympics 1 of 2

    in Politics Progressive

Mirabile dictu! Somehow, the IOC chose Boston over San Francisco, Los Angeles and D.C for the US bid to host the 2024 Summer Games.

It's certianly not a done deal. Entries from many other nations are in the running for that — to be settled in 2017. Apparently that will involve much dining and wining, bribing and cajoling. PR meets politics meets pride.I figure Rome or some other city that's already done this will get it.

Meanwhile, Bostonians aer in two camps. One are the hucksters and boosters, typified by ty the Boston 2024 promoters. On the other side are detractors, including those on No Boston Olympics. Next week's show will have one of the three principals of the latter on.

This time, I'll do my best to present the case for the Olumpics. There's much to overcome on the way to winning the bid. The commonwealth's feasibility study on the bid, which came out in February, details the infrastrtucture, venue, transportation and other issues. The boosters say they have it under coontrol or soon to be.

This week is the pro-side run through. Next week will be the anti one.

Obama does not want oil from our friends in Canada, we tell you why

    in Politics Conservative

Obama only wants to get oil from countries THAT WANT TO KILL US!! Makes all the sense in the world  when you know that Obama wants to destroy America and one way to accomplish this is for him to kill the chance for the 42,000 high paying jobs that would be created by the Keystone pipeline.

The existing 2.6 MILLION miles of pipelines in this country seem to be doing FINE but Obama's sales pitch for not allowing the 852 miles of keystone pipeline is that it will be bad for the environment. Obama's anti-christ  ANTI AMERICAN POLICIES is the greatest threat to America, not the weather.

Al Gore must be laughing his ass off at the Obamunist, after all, that subject of weather belongs to Gore. By the way, the North Easet could use some of that Global Warming right now, with the snow deeper than it has ever been.  Tune in Thursday morning a 11:AM for the rest of the story.
